[Release] MUWorldEditor 0.2.0 Alpha
Using this tool, you can view the Mu worldmap.
At the "object" sub-interface on the toolbar, holding down the ctrl key to add one new object ,delete key to delete the focus object.Then you can save the changes.
V0.2.0
Fixed save.
Fixed destroy D3D9Device.
Add camera far.
Add moving object like MAX.
By the way, donate to this project,I will used the money buy my freedom, I could do this project better.

Exelent program, very very very very good program.
You can add this please:
Zoom with mouse?
Move with Arrows
Rotate with NumberPad
Maybe you can do "Mu Monster editor" for create spawn, reubicate NPC and SPOT :p

Try to load only EncTerrianX.map not Terrian.map :)

tested on:
win xp sp1

vista home
vista ultimate
win 7 ultimate
works on all but win xp sp1-2 have sometimes errors when do random things :p so update your computers
and yes you need to load EncTerrainx.map
2 bad it wont open lorencia maybe will be fixed in some upcoming fixes?
also maybe is possible to add function like add object from other location so it just copy object files there?

How to convert obj to att? Because this tool saves map in obj format and it cant open obj.
Edit: My bad. It save only obj when you type different name, than .map file.

Ok, lets say, i did some changes in map, how to get att for server? Because i uploaded normal terrain ( encterrain tried too ) and it dont work.

Third step: Defining where u are able to go on map
This is saved in EncTerrain*.att client side and Terrain*.att server side. U can convert them to bmp and edit them. Colors are coded like this:
black(#000000): Free to pass outside
Blue(#000080): Walls outside where u cant pass but still see textures
Red(#802000)/Lightgreen(#C0DCC0): Walls that are shown black. Cursor turns into an X when over the position.
Red(#800000): Free to pass in town
Violett(#800080):Safe ZONE!!

Hi !
Are you gonna improve this tool ?
Untill now it just make Terrain.obj items (don`t save .map .att or TerrainHeight and TerrainLight).
And for further development an idea : Add option to change map ID into Terrain.obj file (this option don`t exist).
And for the rest keep it up, you made an excelent tool (best for its kind)

Excellent program and it will only get better :D:
One thing though, orz8 - when I talked about handles on objects, I meant handles for rotate/z-index/lean, not just lateral (sideways) movement :)
Can't lateral (sideways, x/y) movement be done by dragging the active object (no handles or special keys needed)?
Camera movement keys (AWSD) was a good suggestion too.

This is not difficult :blush: just change the second byte of the OBJ file in a hex editor - you'd need to decrypt with this app first though:

Unfortunately all can be cracked in PC world, just take time.
PD : I guess the difference between free and full version, is only the save function, so I see it good.
PD2 : In this last version he added the camera movement with the directional keys (Up, down, right and left) and it seems that this won't be the last version because in his blog said that he fixed some effects like the fire that was not appearing.

You need to select the object in the object menu, and then press CTRL + Left
click (mouse) in the map for put the object.

TenebrosuS, the walk/fight/sit/lean areas are set by the ATT file, not the OBJ. If you only edit the OBJ, then you have a chair that can't be sat on. If you only edit the ATT, then you will sit on air :P You have to edit both files correctly for the proper result ;)

Which one att? On encterrainx.att I've not found any differences.
BTW, does any one know how to edit map layers? When I'm trying to use method enc map>dec map> 3lay att>bmp it doesnt work b/c when I'm making enc map again I've got only white ground. MWE has got blocked this option.

You must first decrypt .map then open with map3layer ; after you have the 3 out-s you edit each of them.
after you edit with mapconvet(MG) you reencode again as server att-s and with map3layer you create the new .map file

Sorry to disagree with you Darcantix, but the ATT file does not define where the player can sit / lean.
Lean Areas:
About the lean areas, take a look at THIS PICTURE ... the purple objects are the areas where the player can "lean". Inside the game, these objects will be invisible and you can see he really leaning (CLICK HERE TO SEE)
Seat Areas:
Finally about the "seat areas", they are not defined either by ATT or OBJ, but by the BMDs that the client is loading... I'll tell you about my practical experiences:
If the client loads, in Davias folder, the ObjectXX.bmd as a chair, you will be able to sit on it whenever you want, being a chair model or a tree model. You can put this object anywhere inside Davias, and you will may sit on it. BUT, if you put this ObjectXX.bmd inside ANOTHER map folder (Noria, for example) you can't longer sit on it. Thanks for correcting me (I like to improve my own knowledge and be told if I'm wrong), but I don't think your description is accurate either... if the same BMD does not allow leaning in a different map (or different BMD name in the same map) then it must be defined in the Main instead. If that info was stored only in the BMD itself then it would be truly portable and work in any map and any Object## file position. :huh:

I have been playing around with the 3.0 version of the editor and I found a serious problem (at least for my needs)
This is how the editor perceives the size values:

Despite this the Editor writes values properly when saving a map,
but the problem comes from the Scale function which apparently doesn't and causes objects oriented towards Y to squish down instead of resize..

Please if someone is capable of fixing this problem or knows a solution to it for some help..

Just, u are loosing your time. RPGSky editor dev were abandoned long time ago. There are some "pesudo-code" on internet but no one coder wants continue it.
Try 0.7. If there still exist that bug, just keep using pentium.

i dont understand why dont you just calculate exactly how u want it to be in game and then use those values or follow using that specific value structure in world editor?
what u wanna do?
click Cling and move the object somewhere, then resize it , then untick Cling and move it maybe?

That's the problem..
Same object, same size but differently oriented provides a different thing in game..
It's not a question about continuing the project or adding new features even.. it's just swapping a few values, but i have no clue how to do it on my own.. or where to find the code in the first place..
P.S: 7.1 as far as i can tell (because i can't save .obj file to begin with in it) is the same..

Of course different models have different base size, before placing new models check their base size by using size "1", that would be your base and go from there(we are talking about webzen here). Put both object side by side and try to make them same size manually.
In terms of orientation, try to avoid cling, rather have your values(x,y,z) calculated and go by that, trust me, it works.
Stop dissing MWE 0.3.0 - it is the only one that is doing it's job. Check out my lorencia if you don't trust me, yes it takes bloody ages and patience, but it works. I had no problems with it, yes I went through quite a lot of fails, but hey, that's how you learn ^^
