I turn on the server, after few hours it falls. just back to work if you reestart.
I noticed some errors in the log of the db's.
forgot to mention, who is the game still in play else who is disconnected can not connect.

I've been watching and it seems that Linux is limited to only 16 connections if any of the 16 spots is released one else can connect.
Anybody know if this really could be the problem?
It looks like the server is losing connection to mssql but there isn't any clue as to why. It will probably be a flaky connection through vmware as virtual netwok adaptors aren't going to run perfectly with every single physical adaptor in the world.
Linux isn't limited to a specific number of connections. Windows XP home edition is but you have 2003 which isn't. It does sound like the vmware networking is getting overloaded when it hits a certain number.
I can't really suggest anything here as there aren't any settings you can change really. All i can think of is to try another virtualisation program like virtualbox. I know vbox works well with routers but i have never used it for a direct connection so you would have to do a little googling on how to do the port forwarding as i'm guessing the server has a direct connection and you use NAT settings for the virtual network.
I could not install the CentOS in VirtualBox, you already used the CentOS in VirtualBox?
Yes i'm using centos 5 and virtualbox at the moment as vmware gave me grief installing on Win7 x64 because of unsigned drivers. Vbox was the quickest fix without neutering Win7.
humm..ok and you know how to release the ssh centos 5.4? it already comes installed, it can not access.
I changed the port to be no conflicts with other CentOS, it still does not connect. I released a new port on the VMWare Filter
I didn't have to do anything like that. All i did is install in the usual way, though i have a router and if you have a direct connection you do need to do some port forwarding. I haven't tried that in vbox yet but if you google for "NAT port forwarding in virtualbox" i know there are some guides.
I've been searching for a while, and I think I found the problem, maybe my solution is openvpn, no? players perceived lag very well. when it gets crowded I can not access via ssh
Using vpn stuff like openvpn or hamachi will introduce lag as you have a virtual network (openvpn) connecting to another virtual network (vmware). There isn't really much you can do about it as vpn isn't really recommended for hosting server for this exact reason :(
