Thanks for that... I'm not sure how helpful it will be in all the many situations MS SQL fscks up, especially as most of them are around .Net, ODBC, MDB files, MDAC and component checkers in-between rather than the generally (IMHO) very stable MSI platform... but it's definitely worth a shot.:thumbup1:

The Windows Installer configuration management information can become damaged if any of the following issues occur:
- The computer's registry becomes corrupted.
- A registry setting that is used by the Windows Installer is
inadvertently changed, and this change results in a problem.
- The installation of a program that uses Windows Installer (for
example, Microsoft Office 2003) is interrupted.
- There are multiple instances of a setup program running at the same time, or
an instance of a setup program is "blocked."
i already tryed it and it didnt helped and yes it is x86 :S any other ideas?
It's x86, of course... but unless you are running DEC Alpha, PowerPC or StrongArm version of Windows... (None of which support PT) what else would you want it to be?Quote:
