Like I told Organic in a pm last night. The database stuff that comes with that isn't the full database, so I doubt your going to get it up without either me, or organics help. Some one else has it but he doesn't count.
I gave the tools, if your actually good enough to attempt and not just leech/download setup and play then maybe I'll throw out some tips. Other then that, your on your own. Good luck, God knows you'll need it lol.

is official server files or emulator? db for mysql or MSSQL?

You can use any client, and the DB is actually 3.5gb extracted. 7zip compression ftw.
Mircosoft SQL 2005 or 2008.
Jared is a fucking tool.
These files are by no means recent. They're old, and horribly outdated. These will not work with any episode 3 files whatsoever. And jared doesn't have ep3 files, which is why he's claiming that cfg's are missing, it's the best excuse he has to get out of posting them.
These are probably from around the SpaceCowboy era, just shortly after Galanet lost hosting rights, these are probably the files from that private server that was up for a couple months afterwards.
That would be about circa.. 2005-06. May be off by a year, but these files are very likely over 3 years old, and there have been MANY changes since they were current.

He means some one has suba's files compiled around 12/1-2. Their useless unless you can twist it inside and out 12 ways from sunday, or some epic pro type dude/person/whatever, because their cfg format is different not to mention their missing every single cfg needed lol.
And yes some one does have them, and suba knows how many and who, but they don't care because it's not the complete files, and it's pretty near impossible to pull 10-12 cfg contents out of 3-4 exe's

If you know what you are doing and know how these servers are run with experience you can write all the configs needed.
With the files it is possible to be QUITE up to date on everything needed but know that it isn't easy. It requires SQL knowledge and extensive server knowledge As to how to get things to work in harmony. I've said before I'm not looking for a public private server I am just looking to host one for a local network for my friends and I. I am looking to get ahold of the COMPLETE 7.5gb database so I can have everything started then with any luck be in game with my modified client. I also have hopes of modifying the GM tool to connect to private servers but I don't have the ability to do so. If anyone can help me and my server gets running I am willing to share what is needed to get it to work and how to get it running but like I said I'm not going public with this because I like the public versions. I would just like to be a gm and maybe have a little private pvp server.

Also a small bit of information people might like to know. I haven't confirmed this wholely yet but it seems to hold true. The servers start in sleep mode you need to wake them up to be able to connect.

Not to just jump in on this discussion... But, the only way to LEGALLY obtain the official files is by legal contracts and agreements/purchase of the files. Unless you guys could use what you got and could pull it off and make it or be sitting behind bars or a steel door(Prison). The choice is yours guys... I am confident you can do it, just don't complain when you get asked to be in court one day...

I love how we hear "my server is working" and no one has any absolute proof at all and I don't think most of you know how to even start the server. This thread is becoming dead and I don't want to lose this so keep me in mind guys I am trying to set up a server as well and if you would like to work with me or would let me work with you just let me know.
P.S. I don't share files. I don't plan on sharing files. I might trade files with people but probably won't do that. I understand if you don't share files but I am trying to get a few files if anyone can help me.
any way, even if i write a tut on how to setup server, u could not do that , because not so many ppl have complete serverpack.
