If you use sql2005 use this instead (works on 32bit ad 64bit):

If you have sql2000 then try putting the xp_md5.dll in c:\ as system32 can sometimes deny access. If you move the dll look in "extended procedures" in the master db and delete xp_md5 and add it again.

If xp_md5 does not work the server cannot save account information. This is what is making the homepage error.

For that problem we need to see all of the .log files in /var/log/cabal on the server. It looks like internal.txt may be using a different server ip address than what you put in when cabal_config asked.

This sort of information is in /etc/cabal/data/mob.scp. Look at the column titles to see what each column means. If you use my files you should be able to use the cabal_channeltypes command to enable hardcore channels as hardcore channels are tougher and give more EXP.

Drps are set in 2 places, const.scp and the terrain files in the data_world folder. Const.scp has the droprate and this sets how common alz and items are, 1x (100) will give you less items and more alz and 5x (500) will give more items than alz. The terrain files give the rates things will drop so if you want to increase the drop rated of certain items then do it in the terrain files.
