It doesn't. You're adding/removing bytes to the the launcher, and not replacing them, causing the file to show:

when changing it, (if I remember correctly make sure not to delete the .mrs just overwrite it. Meaning place the cursor in-front of the mrs and then start typing. It will overwrite. Also if its shorter than mrs then make sure to put a . then right-click and make it 00
