Ok, well... since the whole Haiti situation, there has been
other earthquakes near the pacific. (small magnitudes 3.0-4.0)
And we never know when it can happen where we live.
Today at school, i got told about the "Triangle of Life"
So... what is the "Triangle of Life"
Its basically a new(for me, i dont know since when this has been around,my bad if its old, and you guys already know about it) way of protecting yourself on a Earthquake situation.
Anyways, I understand that we usually are told that on a Earthquake we need to get under our desk, or get under a door frame.
Well that is old and not safe...
Instead we need to get on the side of our desk, walls, heavy furniture, ext, on fetal position.
Why?
Because, when objects start to collapse, they will fall on top of the desk(smashing it and killing you if your under it)
if your next to it, other objects that collapse near the desk will fall slightly on top of the desk, leaving in between a space, that is called "The Triangle of Life"
My explaining isint the best... So heres a visual.

Hope this vid helps out some people.
And if this is old information, let me know.
I don't think this is useless unless you guys already know about this...So hope not to see that post.
If its on the wrong section, go ahead move.
