iPhone/iTouch RageZONE Mobile App (jail broken iPhone/iTouch only)

This is a great app on the go! If you ever tried to access RageZONE via Safari on iPhones and iPod Touch then you know that its hard to press the links and its hard going back to the main page and then going back/forth.

This application I made makes that much easier! :D
It has all the stuff that RageZONE has but nicer format for iPhone/iTouch users.

It has all the forum sections. I put the main stuff on the tab bar, and this application you can also switch out the tab bar buttons to fit your needs!!!!

Reworking the whole project.

Working on Version 3.0.0
Going to be adding fer sure:
-landscape mode
-loading spinner (or custom loading, still deciding)
-error if no internet connection is found
-Search Function
-User CP
-Added Back/Foward buttons on bottom (ontop of Tab Bar)
-Might add Undo/Redo

Trying to add:
-Push notifications (for the News section only)
-RaGECAST {able to add, but it needs Flash [Adobe], but iPhone doesnt support Flash ATM}

Got rid of:
-Lounge (due to being gone on ragezone [I think because I dont see it anymore])


When it going to be released?
No estimated time as of this moment due to my schooling taking up a lot of my time. But I hope to get this project done by the end of this month.

Starting from scratch and thing of what else to add. I am in the progress of doing this again. I am trying to finish it by the end of this week due to next week busy.

How to install? (2 ways!)
Easiest!:
-Go to Cydia, Manage Sources, Edit, Add and add this repo http://www.razorsword.nl/repo/ (Thanks to Superfun)
-Search for Ragezone and download ^.^

Other Way:
-ssh into your device (using via cyberduck [mac only], filezila[mac & windows], and also to make sure you got openssh installed on your iphone/itouch [Get from Cydia], and mobileterminal [also from Cydia])
-put your iphone IP, user name is root, password is alpine (inless you changed)
-go to /var/mobile/

-drag and drop the ragezone.deb and close out
-type "su" and then "alpine" (without " ") and type "dpkg -i ragezone.deb"

-It will install and then close out and respring your device.
-It should show the icon and load when you press and there you go! :D

after all it's just safari with few extra buttons, wouldn't want this unless it had thread / posting / etc inside app.

It's a great idea and creation and I congratulate you for that.. but really it's not all that good.

With safari it is harder to click the links and such. This makes it easier. I am also still a beginner and going to update it and make it better as I go.

I made it from Mac so I honestly dont know what I need to make stuff for LG KP500 :P If your able to find out tell me and I will give it a wack :P

It's an iPhone App. So it will only work on iPhone OS. (which includes iPod Touch, iPad) which have been jailbroken.

I'll try this out - I like your idea!

Needs more polishing.
After all, their IS a web browser on the iPod Touch/iPhone

Decided to work with some xcode again and restarting project from scratch. Going to include loading spinnger (or custom idk yet), error if no internet, maybe some push notifications (deciding), and its going to support landscape once I can fix how to make it not look f***ed lol. So hopefully be released soon if my schooling doesnt occupy my time.

Looks really nice, even though I don't even own a iPhone/Touch.

You could perhaps look into http://jqtouch.com/ to make a HTML based version which works on unbroken phones?

Some how, some way, my iPod is unjailbroken.

Jailbreaking an iphone totally kills it.

But the app looks. Sorta, almost interesting.

I think you should make an html version though, that way it works on non-jail broken as well. Plus it would be a lot easier.

did you code this using the SDK? if so, mind sending me your UITableView? so i can see how you did it?

Tried downloading it, I get a hash sum mismatch and it doesn't install. Any ideas?

Anyways, I gotta start working on this again. Busy with school again and trying to do this on the side is hard. Also doing a lot of trading on craigslist and trying to get an iPhone 3G(S) soon. So yaya! haha

Anyways for iPhone 4, I need to updated it (which I was doing :P), but I know it works on the iso 4.0.0+ because I tried the older version already.

Getting my iPhone 3G(S) soon. Couple weeks maybe because still gathering my money. Plus it will help my development on this because my iPod Touch is to slow for some of the stuff im adding 0.0

Yea, I jail broke my touch a few days ago..

how come i missed this

The thing is, it was basically just the old rz mobile version wrapped inside some "quick links", considering we are now using different mobile version, this app won't even work, thus it should be locked instead of year old bumped.
