League of Legends is basically an updated version of DoTa.

You have a choice of currently 46 different heroes. These range from nuke casters to tanks.

There is currently one map in Matchmaking, summoners rift, the typical 3 lane with with turrets and a base. A new map is in the works, with only 2 lanes, designed for a much faster game.

In League of Legends you gain experience after each game, that goes towards your summoner level. When you (the summoner) levels up, you gain 1 mastery point and a rune slot. The max level is 30.

Each mastery point allows you to advance a bit further along the mastery tree, that give you small bonuses in game. Things like armour, damage, better summoner spells and the likes.

Each rune slot allows you to equip runes. Runes add slightly larger bonuses than maasteries, and a split into 4 categories. Quintesse, Mark,Seals and Glyphs. Marks are for physical attacks, Seals are for defence, Glyphs are for magic and Quints are super powerful. You get 9 of each Marks, Glyphs and Seals, and 3 Quints. You can design up to 2 rune pages before a match, and fill them with what ever runes you want.

IP is gained from matches, like exp. You gain both IP and exp from winning. You can use IP to buy runes and new heroes.

You can also buy new heroes for RP, Riot Points. Riot Points can only be obtained via microtransactions. Riot Points are only used for purchasing new heroes and skins.

Most of the champions have 1 or more alernate skins that you can either buy or unlock via some way. The only way to obtain skins is through RP.



It's an awesome game and I've been well addicted to it xD

I have heard good things about this game from various people. I might check it out.

Its a good game, played it for quite some time, untill online games made my pc turn off, which is fixed now. Might go back to playing it :D
