i believe in stopping immigrants
2 ways to do this i feel.
1. plain stop them coming in, place real limits that are kept in check
or 2 which i feel is the better 1
stop the huge benefits we give away
we have 1 of the highest tax rates in the world here in the uk and we dont see a lot of it
This is a huge problem in the US as well and I agree with you. I have no problem with people legally joining but it's out of control and been that way for a long time.Quote:

2) If Asylum Is Granted On Safety Terms - They Must Live In A Restricted Area Until They Are Issued With A Job. There Food And Board Will Be Payed For By The Government. This Will Stop Immigrants Coming For Our Benefits.
yeah im the same, by all means people should be allowed to travel the world freely but when you have thousands of people coming to your country and your government is spening your tax money to house them etcetc its a little out of hand
Immigrants are a big problem.. Its hrad to stop this too, how can you stop it actually? I can lie saying im coming on vacation and than just do whatever I want..

i plan on going to thailand soon, i may be able to get a training visa but failing that i will have to do border runs every month after my 1st 90 day is up

it is very common in thailand
in home country we call that BORDER HOPPING and it is looked frown upon. When i was a little kapushkapa my daddy would take me and sit me next to him and hand me a pair of earplugs, he would then load his paintball gun, and i would watch him shoot at all the mexicans jumping the border. (not a true story, but i got some facts about my area affected by illegals)

what i meant is basically to extend your visa you must leave the country and come back, this can all be done the same day and is perfectly legal
i know, i was just acting stupid, sorry :P lol, but im gonna say some real things that happen now on illegals.
I live in a state with a LOT of non-english speaking mexicans (im a coconut mexican, brown on the outside, but white on the inside, but the milk has a bit of tequila mixed in :P) there are people who go to mexico and pick up tons of mexicans and bring them to america, so they can be here, but they do it for a price (this is how those ppl make money) soemtimes they hold the ppl hostage to get even MORE money from the persons family in mexico, there are busts for houses like that, that are primarily used for storing illegals. This shows how bad the border hopping is where i live. Even ppl from countries other than mexico cross that border to sneak into america. I had a bit more to say, but im in school and someone just interrupted my train of thought, and now i cant remember what i was going to say.

Just so ya know, I make it a point to read the entirety of a debate before posting.
In America, as becky and devin have zeroed, we have a HUGE problem with immigration. About 40%-50% of America is comprised of illegal immigrants. I have a huge worriment over this, especially since I live in New Mexico. Virtually everyone I try to talk to is of Mexican decent and can't speak a word of english.. notice the problem yet?
I was over at Florida last summer to see the sites and head to Disney World :). I couldn't but stop and notice the overwelming amount of Haitians. From what I heard, in that month, three-hundred-thousand or so had alighted across the borders.
The part that bothers me is when they claim nationality to America. From what I remember to qualify is you HAVE to speak english and must subsume some iota of its constitution. Someone gets hurt in the process.. hippies become roused and incenced with rage. Or for those who do make it, they feel it's within their nature to make everyone accept them and their standards of living; their family still in their country, their traditions(as American religion likes to as well). When I was in Highschool I remember it being a huge issue of addressing everyone properly; Mexican American, African American.. etc. When you're in America you're American, not 'Mexican American, African American..'
