Charactor Skill Editor

Here's a relatively simple char skill editor i made

You copy a char XML into the editor load the char then you can add/remove any spell from all classes including both holy/dark it also has a quick way of adding level 10 to all craft skills onto a character (it will even update low level crafts to high level).

Once you finish editing skills it will return the XML to you and you can paste it onto your char file.

It does not even require all the char XML just the Name, ID, Culti, Reputation, Skill sections.

Quick start tutorial:
* Copy an XML of char paste it into tool and press load.
* type "skills" (without quotes) then press enter to see a list of skills on char.
* To add a skill first type "listadd" find the skill you want and enter it in command box.
* To remove a skill first type "listdel" find the skill you want to remove and enter it in the command box.
* Once finished editing char type "XML" in command box and it will give you all an updated XML if you wish you can copy only the the skills section if that's all you edited.

Edit - Link fixed and made it so you don't need to type / for commands

Also if your version of PW is lacking send me your skillstr.txt from the Config.pck and I will add a new editor for your version immediately.

It's a simple perl script that send your char's data to his computer xD

There is no commands and it doesn't show any results! Only send your XML data to his server :wink:

LOL, wtf?
1. Stealing char data? Assuming your server has any mods your char file will be useless on another server.
2. There are no logs ore records of any chars or skills that passed through the tool.
3. Has he actually tried it? Even with a test char? Most likely not.

You're kinda noob in this forum and this tool is not a good start to make you a reputation... cuz it's only online so we can't verify what the server does behind^^

because she doesnt want to she wont even make that for me... so dont press thine luck XD

the only thing you can get out of a character xml is:
bank password
how many characters are in your server
and time they joined your server...

no vunerable infomation is included.

just tested this script and i must say, bravo.
very very nice :)
i will post this for my GMs and bookmark it.

is there anyway to get a offline version? i notice its on no-ip which proberly means your hosting it, which proberly means it wont be up 24/7 :(

C# is a sucky language so no i wouldnt use that.

Release it as an exe? I dont mind doing that however you unwillingness to use a website (where u are safe) and willingness to use an exe (where u are at great risk) is very illogical.

It is a web script since i control all my server using web scripts i made ... This script is just the skill editor it was never meant to be released so its not user friendly... But it does everything i need.

I only used iweb in beginning a LONG time ago since then i have made my own iweb program + scripts. I think you are refering to Zetta.

1. The server doesnt even keep a record of anything or any chars and even if it did what possible use would that be? sigh.

2. Its online because its part of my server script network zetta just released it without asking.... Obviously i would have made an exe if intended to share it.

3. If i wanted to make a *reputation* i would release much bigger things than this.

4. Server does behind is - Load a char into memory keep it in memory when you edit then release it from memory when it is sure you are no longer using the website.

There is always one clown so you have to explain stuff many times to them....

Reasons why keeping chars would be futile and pointless...
* You can only edit char XML on a server if your the admin (so its useless to anybody but a server admin)
* As a server admin you can create your own chars + own items your not going to need anybody elses.
* Pasting a char file from one server to another will likely cause the whole server to crash if the source server is using differnt elements and items.

etc etc the list goes on and on.

you should for sure make more.

what we are missing is a tasks reader.
tasks in players xml are a nightmare really...
and taskscomplete also.

i had a quick look at taskscomplete, far as i can work out its 4 characters for each complete quest, but as to defining which is which quest ID i have no idea.

Romulan noone is making you use it if youre scared then just dont use it. We arent releasing a .exe here ok? so get it ou of your mind...

pearl makes good script.

i use webmin all the time which is 70% pearl and its great, brilliant.
