[Release] Fiesta Database Extractor
I thought it would be usefull to create a full database (QuestData.shn supported!) for Fiesta fansites / Private servers.
This tool can convert most of the SHN Files (ressystem) into (My)SQL readable scripts / insert queries. This way you can use them in PHP.
It allows you to multi-select the SHN Files and will create a .SQL file supported by most of the MySql versions.
Enjoy!~
This will be my only RageZone release.

Hmm, I guess it would be useful if you wanted to created an emulator. Interesting.

I created a C# emu long time ago wich ran on MySql database yup (;
Re: [Release] Fiesta Database Extractor
An emulator needs to be made if you ask me. These files are highly unstable, and really shouldn't be using up so much of windows resources.

I don't think there's so much interest in Fiesta to write an emulator.
My files, with maps & mobs loaded uses about 40mb ram, and 1% CPU.
Though, I didn't finish mobs completely.
Re: [Release] Fiesta Database Extractor
One thing I like about emulators. Their usually made a hell of a lot better then the real thing lol. Their easier to use and never uses all your PCs resources. Kinda makes you think... are paid programmers really that crappy?
Re: [Release] Fiesta Database Extractor
If you use the exact same processor and machine architecture you actually do not have a problem running them.
The main reason they have made them hog so much system resources is because they don't want the average user running them smoothly.

Makes no sense... why would they consider making it 'heavy duty' so normal people can't use them? ... A secure company doesn't even get their files leaked.
But yes, their memory management is really poor.

if only there was a way to get the source to the server

Currently running them on a 8 socket xeon system with 32gb and I am getting 23% cpu usage, and the max ram they seem to be using is around 9.3GB.
Hopefully after some tweaks when I finally get some more levels into the game. I will make the server public.

thx dude, keep sharring :)
Re: [Release] Fiesta Database Extractor
please reupload the extractor!
why would you need a emulator if we have the official server files? they use losts of ram etc but that way not everyone makes a 0815 server and hosts it for 2 players

Re-uploaded it (recompiled using different settings, better speed results)
