Well it's late out here where I'm at and I was bored and I thought to myself, "How did RaGEZONE get so populated?" This might be a stupid thread but I am curious on how to get a forum this successful. Discuss.

Understand that RaGEZONE was founded in 2001.

it started as a wrestling forum, then Daniel discovered Mir. The reason why it's so populated is not just for the community, but because of popular games of the time: MU brought a lot of people.

Personally , i think that a MMORPG forums dont come and stay , sometimes they fail but eh , RaGEZONE , has alot more qualities , and is to be is the best damn MMORPG forum ever , and no one could ever equal to it or get better than it so its just how good it is at supplying information on the MMORPGs.

Ragezone has been around for a long time, and was initially the Primary source for MMORPG things, more in particular Private Server related things, beginning with Mu Online for most people back then.
Because it had the most awesome Mir 2 server ever; Well that was why me and a few of my friends came (Around '04/'05). But that was a long time ago, it was a sad time when the p-servers started to fail :(

As mentioned, it started off as a Wrestling forum. Then Dan changed it to a Mir2 server. It because popular because at the time it was one of the only unofficial servers i believe. From there it gained a reputation as having leaked server files, so Dan just grew on that and expanded to other games.Quote:
