Guild Wars
Guild Wars Trilogy ( + factions + nightfall) on steam for $20, is it worth getting or not?
I currently play WoW religiously, but i'm not addicted so i'm on for only maybe 3 hours tops each day. Have tonnes of other time so thinking of getting Guild Wars also.
How is it compared to WoW?
Is it really completely PVP based?
Do you really need to join a guild and do team fights ect? I don't play AS MUCH as most people do, so i usually get kicked out of guilds for not being good enough... if it's completely team based then i won't bother.

Re: Guild Wars
The game is great! You choose either RP or PVP, yet of course you can play PVP on a RP char.
There are portals leading to towns so you don't have to run to places you can map to them, in Guild Wars 2 you will be able to map and move around freely, but GW is still great itself.
It's worth getting is really all I need to say. Yet the level cap is only 20, but there are titles that have you playing everyday.

Re: Guild Wars
the game titles and secrets are from the movie "Anchorman". enough said.
it would be highly recommended to group, but you don't have to group real people. You can party AI (not the greatest but better than soloing some pretty retarded missions). The storyline is very well written and the voice acting is tight (if you're a fighter your character's voice is that of the VO for Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop).
The game is well constructed. There are a few bumps I found in the beginning of the game, but if you do every quest you will not be left behind the power curve. I haven't played for a while (since I left for basic training) and I'm stuck at some stupid ghost escort mission, but the game is still a lot of fun.
You can guild anyone from any game (all of my guild mates had nightfall or factions, I was the only one playing the prophecy game.), but it can be kind of troublesome asking for help if they don't have that game.
