Why cant we have a little sub forum for hacking, I mean there is already private server's that take the owners files and use's them for their own use? I mean its the same thing with GameSaves and Downloadable Content, So why not?

"Hacking" is not legal, private servers are as long as you don't make any profit.
Rish, that's totally not true...
Private servers are illegal as long as you EMULATED the game. Which means that some server files of MuOnline, FlyFF and others are illegal.
Try to research a bit more before you post.

I say yes for the hacking, and also cracking and reversing would be cool to have.
I don't often disagree with Rish but yeah; I posted something similar to what Rish posted in another thread (can't remember where) and I got pushed in the corner :P:
Yeah same here, but yeah... i guess chipping w/e is illegal and so are private servers if its not your code, just like ragescape got rumbled for useing the same path ways to connect as JaDGex or w/e were using.

Good, so you agree with me. They are not illegal as long as the files were not emulated. MANY game developers have been known to release the server files for their game to the public. Additionally, even if the files ARE emulated, the game developers will not take legal action unless you are actually earning money from it. Why? Because the moment you actually start earning money, you are in fact breaking several other laws as well, on top of taking potential revenue from the developer.Quote:
