[PC] DotA All Stars

Well, considering it's pretty damn popular.

Isn't really a discussion about it but rather help?

I can't join any private games my friends make or any games at all which i type in the name and click join game.

BUT, if i find their games on the pub list i can join them perfectly fine without any problems.

This just racently started about a month ago and i've tried reseting my modem, making new accounts, and re-installing WC3.

Has anyone else has this problem and fixed it? Because i've seen others asked about this on the battle.net forums and just get completely ignored or talked down on.

Btw, if this isn't allowed her just tell me and i'll delete the thread.

Can anyone else join that game?

You say you are typing in the name of the game, does that mean it's a private game? Tell your friends to host a public game instead, and see if you can join then. If you can't, then they haven't forwarded their ports correctly, or they did but changed their LAN IP.

Others can join it by typing in the name, but i can't.

Everything will grey out for 3-20 seconds then end up saying "Couldn't connect/Find the game blah blah blah".

It's only happening to me, and i have no clue why.

I used to be able to, but not anymore.

Is it a game hosted by a ghost++ bot(or GhostONE) or is it a game made by a human.


If it's a ghost++ bot make sure the games are being hosted on the port 6112. If not you may have to set your PC as the DMZ host. Reply to this thread with more info once you know (:

They games are being hosted with LC's by humans and some with bots that i had no trouble whatsoever joining before.

And they have all been port forwarded.

Maybe you guys got different versions on your WC3 Client, Because that's also a problem why others can't join your game or others game.

Why dont you use GArena? My friend using it, and its pretty good, as far as I've seen.

it must be a battle.net issue with your "lan" address. you can not find the game couse tbh you can not see the other players IP, so to say.

There are quite a few platforms on where you also can play dota.

I would advise Garena if there would not be tons of leavers, and random pricks.

I am playin on a site called ICCUP.

its nice, based off off battle.net and has its costum bot system with integrated ladder, leave count etc.

check if you want to.

Yeah, Garena is horrible.

But thanks Triumph, i'll try out that site and see how it goes.

It's not a big deal to me anyways, just makes things harder on me. :P
