This should now work with ANY 'private' client, as I went through and manually added all the GFX "textures" as well ;)
Instructions:
1) Unpack GFX, MODELS, & SURFACES - PCK's
2) Add the contents from my RAR to their respective locations (over-writing anything if it asks)
3) Repack GFX, MODELS, & SURFACES - PCK's
4) On the server -- add newSERVERelements.data to /PWServer/gamed/config/elements.data [rename newSERVERelements.data => elements.data, as I named them the way I did so there would be NO confusion as to which was client and which was server side]
5) On the client -- add newCLIENTelements.data to x:\PWCLIENT\ELEMENT\DATA\elements.data [rename newCLIENTelements.data => elements.data, as I named them the way I did so there would be NO confusion as to which was client and which was server side]
4.2/5.2) If integrating / exporting to your own elements.data (using sELedit anyway) import the Blazing Tempest entry from both list 92 and 93
6) To make the Blazing Tempest purchasable through the Boutique / Cash Shop add item # 27855 to your client and server GSHOP.DATA
Spoiler:
My development / importation process of this mount:
Quote:
So.... after all my work; I have fixed the animations (now uses 'official' animations). I have been able to successfully add the 'fire' gfx effects under the Blazing Tempest's paws/feet as well. In addition, I have also incorporated the (box) image used for the boutique, stats menu, and shortcut bar. I have even added the (round) image for the pets status panel as you can see in the image below:
However I have not been successful in adding the 'twinkling eye' effect that is found in 'official'. I physically have the effect working although it is not properly placed (it 'hovers' about a visual foot away from the Blazing Tempest model)...
contains fixed gfx positions of the eyes and sapphire gems...

Thank you; I am still learning about graphics and models and whatnot. Here I was looking in the wrong file all along. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction ^B

A simple comparison quickly reveals that, the only thing changed was all the GFX/FX "HookOffset:" values... I am curious to know; Is/was there some specific formula to this, or was it "guess and check" ???

EDIT: Old download link is now dead, and has been removed (and replaced). I have completely re-packed this mount. Now it is in one convenient RAR ready to be used on any 'private' client, since I even included the GFX "textures" as well ;)
Enjoy

Re: -- mount -- Blazing Tempest
Great work, 343.
I would like to fix the GFX problem with my 1.3.6 client downgrade from 1.4 posted by Ronny a while ago.
Is there any tutorial out there about how to deal with these gfx/surface/model files?
Or anyone has a finalized copy of the gfx files to share on issue with crashing 1.36 gfx on 1.4 items?

I wonder what I did wrong. When I try to buy the blazing tempest, I don't get the item, but I can see it in my shop.
Here is what I did:
1. I unpack all the directories.
2. Unpack my existing surfaces.pck, modles.pck, and gfx.pck.
3. Merge/replace them with the one from 343.
4. Open newCLIENTelements.data with sELedit, export the 27855 entry under pets [93].
5. I made a clone under pets, and replace it with the exported entry to my elements.data.
6. Save my elements.data on client, and export the server file to my server.
7. Put the item in my gshop.
8. Restart server, open client, login, and buy from shop.
Don't get the item in my bag.

Re: -- mount -- Blazing Tempest
I'm not too sure I understood what you did, or did not do. So:

Re: -- mount -- Blazing Tempest
well, I am trying to integrate this to my existing server, so I just export your portion of the tempest to my elements.data.
let me redo the pack and unpacking business.
will let you know.

Ah, you know what; I just had an epiphany myself. You can test with my elements to make sure it works I am sure. However I understand my elements could render something else not to work for you...
Anyway; what I am thinking you didn't do is add Blazing Tempest from list 92 using sELedit; you must import both Blazing Tempest entries from both list 92 and 93 ; of course client and server ;) give that a try and report back ;) :)

Re: -- mount -- Blazing Tempest
ah... I see.
I tried purely using your elements.data, and it works great. Now let me import the other entry into the pet.

Re: -- mount -- Blazing Tempest
ok, you are right. Gotta put the entries in 92 and 93 of elements data.
Now it is integrated into my elements.data. Thanks a lot.
Great work!
By the way, can you share how you manage to work with those gfx/surfaces/models file?

Re: -- mount -- Blazing Tempest
i think its not good to replace the exiting elemets.data - many user have different versions - i think its better to add - this mount - to exiting
This mount is also now a part of the newest PWD ;)
...This thread just happens to be ancient; I ported it over pretty much right after it came out on official ;)

Which is why I kind of thought it'd be a good idea to set thread autolock on this section to about 14 days... no more necros on old threads that probably have nothing to do with the current releases (seeing as how ronny basically maintains an always updated client now especially)

Re: -- mount -- Blazing Tempest
Well I have no problem manually doing it Das ;)
If anyone is reading this thread, and wants this mount; just use the newest PWD ;)
