Your biggest regret

So everyone.. What is your biggest regret? I often looked at my life in a box, subdued and unable to express myself , during a period of my life I sadly had no-one to turn to in "Real-Life" and it left me some-what emotionally unbalanced, as the years progressed and things steadily moved along I can now look back and realise my biggest regret was not actually a regret at all but a blessing, but still, for the greatest period it was my biggest regret.

So that's it, my previous biggest regret was actually moving away from my entire life, which I can now see is the blessing. So how about you?

In all seriousness, it would probably be neglecting my grandfather when he was sick just because I couldn't force myself to see him that way, and by the time I was ready to accept it, it was too late and he was gone. I got to spend hardly any time with him on his last month

Going out with my friends until 3 in the morning. I ignored all of my mom's phone calls, thinking she was just going to yell at me.
When I got home, she was sitting on the couch with tears streaming down my face from relief that I got home safe.

I'm never going out late again, simply because I hate myself for what I put my mom through a year ago.

Being a heavy drinker, which led to me neglecting friends and family and getting into alot of serious trouble, some of which still bothers me to this day.

But with it came a blessing also, upon realising my stupidity I got into what I would consider a way out of all of that, I've since taken up hobbies and I have a life goal of a career in the private sector which I do my best to get closer to at every opportunity. I still drink but sensibly :)

My biggest regret was for not understanding my gal and supporting her at a point of time where she needed me the most. It still hurts me when I think of it =/.

Im still young but my biggest regret is making out with my girlfriend, just because i didn't had enough free time for my own...

Nicolas is going to hate me for posting this, but not trusting my girlfriend when I had to most. We were going strong, for almost 2 months. We both loved each other very much. I sort of got a little paranoid, so I checked her phone and found her texts. As much as I trusted her, I stumbled upon a few, which I probably shouldn't have seen. I still trust(ed) her and I asked about them. It came across as if I didn't trust her. Because of this, we broke up.

Well, all of my biggest regrets happened in the period of the last two years, during my A Levels. First one was getting a extremely controlling and jealous girlfriend, she secluded me from all my friends and basically made me feel like shit and suddenly she broke up with me after like two years and I was extremely depressed for months; my friends I stayed in touch with tried to help me out as much as they could, the break up was right before my first set of exams so I pretty much failed them (I got D's)... The next year I became involved with drug use, nothing really addictive thank God and it was quite easy to get over it, I smoked weed for a short period, before moving up to cocaine etc. which has ultimately resulted in not studying for my exams or attending many of my lessons in the last half term. It's all my fault and I'm glad to say I've put it behind me, I'm just glad I have an apprenticeship ahead of me that I haven't fucked up.

My biggest regret when i broke up with my GF :(:

The fact i was born (may seem harsh?) but my life isn't that great, TBH i havn't seen my dad in phwoof 8-9 years? and he used to give me money to try make up for it, then expected me to go to see him 9 years after it happened, then stopped giving me money for something that was his own fault, i guess i basically get bullied by most people so yeah.
Less harsh one... I asked this girl out (in other words) and i wish I hadn't at that time :/ but now i guess i have to live with it :'( really like her, guess i can have another chance.

I would trade it.

My father separated from my mother when I was 7 and made my mother, me and my little sister live (or should I say die of hunger?) with ~300€ / month and I had to kiss his ass when I saw him once every two or three years so that he didn't stop paying it. This situation changed when I managed to get a job and save my ass and the other 2 mentioned members of my family.

There is also a lot more shit and a lot worse than this I went through but I will keep that to myself, I shared this little aspect of my life with you to make you see that it doesn't matter how hard you've had it, there will always be someone getting it tougher.

I currently don't recive presents from him, i send him cards? he sends them back with "No longer contact" on, I have an older sister, she annoys me most of the time, but yeah my mums boyfriend barges in/out of my life and im just like "WILL YOU JUST STAY OR LEAVE" but if he left i guess i really couldn't be bothered/ wouldn't want anyone else. I've tried my best at everything, my eyes sting 24/7 i always have some sort of problem i have to solve myself, and anything breaks? I have to fix it. TBH your better with the one you've got

I regret cutting school and hanging out with bad friends, which now i can't really make up for because I'll graduate in about a year with very bad grades. I regret but my parents will regret even more because they expect the best out of me and now i give them very little.

I have to agree with that. I've spent hours and hours of my life, wasted on games. Yes, they're entertaining, but you don't really get anything from it. If you've not overcome this, get a hobby. I joined the cadets, and It's cut my time online by 50%.
