Re: Best Domain Provider?
Go Daddy is pretty common, no idea of the customer service tho..
Re: Best Domain Provider?
Re: Best Domain Provider?
I would also say go with GoDaddy. I've been using them for about three years now and have never had a problem with them. Plus, they do have some of the cheapest domains around.
@CioNide: Just leave Dan a visitor message about the name change and I'm sure he will look.
Re: Best Domain Provider?
Alright, well, when I was using 1and1.com, when I went to go change the DNS settings, it took almost an hour for them to process all the way. Does GoDaddy do that?
Re: Best Domain Provider?

GoDaddy, for me is not highly not recommended. A lot of customers of it are having problems and troubles. You're lucky because you've never encountered one. :P

GoDaddy is cheap and reliable. Plus there are tons of coupons you can find by performing a simple google search, for extra cheap domains :P
Re: Best Domain Provider?
enom = rz. everything else I use godaddy, I PERSONALLY recommend godaddy!
Re: Best Domain Provider?
Why did your purchase ragezone.com from enom then?
Re: Best Domain Provider?
No reason, that was like 10 years ago.
Re: Best Domain Provider?
GoDaddy is bad. They have a history if really shady moves and investigations for illegal activities (such as squatting on customers domains and buying related domains and asking for insane prices, and using search history on their site to squat on popular searches, etc).
I'd recommend Namecheap (Namecheap.com - Cheap domain name registration, renewal and transfers - Free SSL Certificates - Web Hosting - Free URL Forwarding, e-mail forwarding and DNS services are included with our cheap domain names registration service), and there are other nice ones.
The entire list of accredited registrars can be found through here: ICANN | ICANN-Accredited Registrars
Find one you like, be it by price or whatever, but check the fine print and policies. You'll find a lot of places will try to screw you over.

Name servers can take anything up to 48 hours to update. It really depends on the service of the company you buy it from.
Re: Best Domain Provider?
I'd also recommend godaddy I own 3 domains on them and no problems.

And when I checked GoDaddy for pricing, they seemed reasonable. Listen to this guy, he seems legit.
