HoN / LoL / Demigod etc. are all just copies of dota, better stick to the original. :)
I agree, DotA is a much deeper game, and it has War3 engine limitations! LoL/HoN/Demi are just looking for a quick buck!
I play HoN and LoL Osmodius if I'm ever online.
League of legends is fun, you guys should play it =]. DotA is for serious players. LoL isn't DotA at all really.
Don't post referral links. Plus, League Of Legends is better than Dota. The thing you people don't understand is that these games... LoL, HoN and so forth far surpass the strict limitations of the WC3 Engine. Thus making the DOTA game-style concept more in-depth.
Heroes of Newerth is free this week, and is way better than LoL in my opinion. Go check it out ;)

LoL, in my opinion is more balanced then Dota, The towers in LoL are way stronger and they need way more hits to kill.
LoL is a really nice game, but it gets kind of boring after awhile. Guess I was never really a fan of Dota-style games (then again my old PC barely runs it at 15 FPS, so I guess that boredness comes from low FPS).
The game is kind of fun tho. It also has nice community than DotA and from what I've heard HoN.
