• Hard drive is smaller, so can't move yours.
• Still a disk tray.

It's not called the '360 Slim', it's called the '360 S'.
Also the previous 360 had a power button, while the new one is touch-sensitive.

Best of all, it can not RROD, instead you will get a 'Red Dot' and a message saying that the temperature is getting too high so the console will shut down to save any damage.

Major internal changes - CPU and GPU and RAM all included on a single Chip. Makes cooling and airflow a hell of alot better, and allows for the slightly smaller form-factor. Also the WiFi is NOT built-in, it is simply a USB wifi card plugged into an internal USB port. Lesser Arcade versions which do not have WiFi simply don't have the USB WiFi card installed.

Wow, finally they have done something to FIX the 360's issues, I'm sure this version will fly off the shelf when it's ready to go, simply because your 360 won't die every five weeks or so due to the red ring of death.

As for me! No, I'm not excited at all.
Why? I simply don't like X-Box...
WHY?!?!? Because Microsoft fails at making hardware, they're software people, not hardware... Seriously... And even then, they rush things entirely too much to put out the "Latest and greatest" so then they just end up failing, while the people over at Mac and Linux with better operating systems get new customers.... or their stuff gets boot legged because it's better.

Also, X-Box is just over rated imo, It doesn't have too many good RPG games, and I guess I'm a little more old fashioned. I say that I'd rather play ff7,8, and 9 on a PS2 than ff13 on a PS3. Plus, the new FF13 is kinda fail compared to the one I'm waiting for with Noctis in it... that's when I will be buying a new game system, solely for that game.... And then when KH3 comes out I will be playing that as well, but other than that, nothing on the "Next gen" consoles interest me at all. There is my input I suppose... now you can try and convince me differently, but I will be a n00b and a lamer and not pay attention due to being a "Stubborn idiot."

Microsoft makes excellent hardware, what are you smoking? Microsoft peripherals are second to none, and apart from the overheating issue (the majority of which was the user's fault) the 360 had almost no other problems.

This one looks amazing. I feel like selling my current 360 to get this one when it comes out. Looks like there are some exciting things happening at MS Xbox division especially with Project Natal also on the way.

I'm pretty excited, can't wait to have my new xbox right next to my old one haha. Doesn't this come with a transfer cable so you can just transfer the data over anyway?

What happened to my post telling you guys to keep this discussion in the original thread that was already created? Also, that thread was created 2 weeks ago so... This is old news.

I was going to get one when it came out but decided not to, it was revealed that the stand alone new 360 is going to be selling for only $199. Why you ask? The reason why is because kinect will be released in later on during Fall, and will be bundled with the new 360 for $299.

Whoa ! ilike it design unfortunatly i think it won't be out in my country , i will buy it in france when it's out there.

The only thing that pisses me off, you need to buy your own god damn transfer cable.

Dont buy this xbox btw, many people have had problems with it and are sending it back, google it.

I've got one on pre-order, a website was selling it dirt cheap and managed to snag one before the price was altered, so hopefully they'll honour the same, already got 2 xboxes atm though, I'll probably sell the white one (arcade) and the black elite is modded.

Problem though is that the new hard-drives are smaller so therefore are not compatible with the older xbox consoles, so I'll have to store my GT on a USB and transfer it in-between consoles, which technically makes it easier because I've been sharing my hard-drive.

I like your setup, much neater than mine where I have my 2 xbox stacked on top of each other with my PS3 beside it haha. Yeah I'm doing the same method with the USB to transfer my data over. After I get it I'm taking apart my old xboxs to jTag and Flash them, and hopefully make some cash from one :).

Also what site did you get yours from? Just curious :D

Finally decided I'm going to trade in the PS3 and the games to purchase this mighty thing. Then jTag here I come :D

Jtags are handy but the problem is that if they RROD and the X-clamp dont work then you'll need to reflow and then that pretty much buggers up the console.

KH3 ? When was the last time you heard news on this brother? LOL last I heard shit on this game was 2006 and I bought a ps3 for it one month ago. The xbox interface actually out does the PS3 2x. I normally have issues connecting to ps3 whereas on xbox I don't.

I'll be getting this when it's released just because I'm an xbox fan.
