Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
Well im sure you have all heard (especially if your from UK) about Raoul Moat the gunman, He lived around my area ^^...He got released from jail on Thursday, found his girlfriend going out with a policeman, Then shot them on saturday, and from there on has been on the run....Claiming to hunt down and kill police
Heres a quote from yahoo news about it
Quote:
'I'm not on the run, I'll keep killing police until I am dead,' he said. 'Last night I called 999 and declared war on Northumbria Police before shooting an officer on the West End A69
roundabout.
'I rang again and told them they are gonna pay for what they've done to me and Sam. I went straight but they couldn't let it go.
'The public need not fear me but the police should as I won't stop till I'm dead. They took it all from me, kids, freedom, house, then Sam and Chanel (their daughter). Where could I go from there? Obviously I have issues but I was pushed. I never beat my kids.'
He admitted the incident in which he blasted Miss Stobbart and killed her boyfriend, declaring: 'On the night 3/7/10 I shot Chris Brown and Samantha Stobbart after an argument earlier that evening.'
It had been thought that Miss Stobbart was shot in the stomach at her mother's home in Gateshead before the killing of her new boyfriend. But Moat gives a different account, saying: 'I put the third round into his head then went to the window and fired at Samantha.'

Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
It's quite scary, providing the police were right, I was within a maximum of 10 miles of him today.
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
Hey, if a pig steals my chick, shit's going down too. Men should have a little more control over themselves. And a man that stays with a chick who lied about a relationship to be a whore is probably completely stupid.
Shoot on, bro. Shoot on.

Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
quick, someone send this to DonTonberry.
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
Considering the fool is looking to die, I'd say the Police should give him what he wants.
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
22nd regiment will be all over this like flies on shit. I doubt SO (CO) 19? not sure what they're called nowadays but I'm sure they won't be much use, let the boys take care of this one. Reasons to suggest they maaaaaay get involved..
1. He's armed.
2. He's declared that he is going to seek armed violence.
3. He has killed.
4. He's out to kill Police, therefore expecting a 'Police' style attempt on him, heh.
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
Think the worst bit is that the Police got a letter from Durham Prison saying that this knob was out to kill people, yet just sat there with their thumbs up their arses.

Not the first, nor the last time they'll let their ignorance result in death

Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
Can't see this going down any other way then the man going down firing tbh.
If he is taken into custody, whats the bet that his face will be like this guys.

How old are you, you stupid little kid? Women are allowed to choose who they are in a relationship with. As for telling an armed killer to shoot on, especially a guy who has sworn to kill more of my colleagues, what a downright fucking stupid thing to say.

Would of been interesting to see what happened to the officers involved.

Also It sounds like he is now back in my area, 2 police where down street, sprinted to their cars, Flew up street then heard like 8 other sirens, now theres a chopper hovering above ^^..
HEs said he will go down and the only way he will be caught is by being shot by the police

Yeap, if found it will be a sniper assault that will take him down, likely from an elevated position with another assault all ready to go should there be a problem, too risky letting a simple assault go forward, as well....he's stated his intentions. Having said all that, there is still a possibility they could take this guy alive, that however is far far more complicated but with any luck he'll either be slotted or cuffed very soon.

Yeah well they have had to bring in armed forces from down south (yorkshire) ^^, And his intentions are to go down with a fight and not to be taken alive, Hes also been on the run for 5 days with hardly any Spottings of him

Police officers are just people, they aren't saints or somehow superior to everyone else (despite that they wish this were true). You're put in a position of authority with a huge responsibility to not abuse the power given, to uphold the law and protect people. When in the eyes of a man who's wife has been seduced by not just a man (which is bad enough, people get killed over this all the time) but an officer of the law who is supposed to protect and serve him, where should he turn? Where can that faith/trust that we're supposed to have go be placed at that point? When the good guys turn into the bad guys, bad shit happens.
The one guy I can see. Shooting more just because someone screwed his girl is a bit ludicrous. Psychologically he's been traumatized, you don't get on with a "I'm going to shoot every cop" mentality without being insane. But then again, most of the cops I see are the archetypal highschool bully who just wants power over people, so I'm not as worried about it. We have morons as politicians and power hungry bullies as law enforcement, lots of shit is broken.
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
Police officers are far from saints, we're ordinary people who put ourselves in a position of danger every time we go on duty to do the job we love.
The guys wife wasn't seduced by a copper, and so what if she had? The guy was in prison and they weren't together - open playing field. Where is the abuse is power there?
Tit.

Yeah I don't know what would scare me more, seeing DBT in real life as a cop when he's pissed off, or a guy running around shooting people...
That would probably be my hell if it were both happening at the same time, and Kaoii was the gunman. ;-)

what would be hell is DTB running around pissed off after the gunman XD

Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
you guys know the term the world is a just bit more safter? well dtb brought that term to a whole. nother. leval.
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
He's either going to be caught or killed tonight I think.
At the minute he is cornered and things are getting a bit too close, he either shoots himself, or shoots at officers, at which point he will simply be killed.
If he makes ot into the darker hours and tries to move that's when 22nd comes into play, they'll have him in seconds, and if they don't I'll be surprised, and it will be the Police trying to keep it all above board which clearly has already been a topic and is dissapointing.
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
I don't know he might get away tonight. But I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome of this. I love drama...
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
Hopefully he'll be dead by tomorrow.
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
Well, hes lying in a field gun to his head...with 20 snipers surrounding him.. Outcome could be anything
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
The only thing is the police haven't thought that he MAY have hostages Which could change the whole situation
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
He doesn't, they have a full view of him, he is metres away.
Should have been a black bagger from the start, find him, slot him, home for scoff :P

Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
Apparently they got him with just a shotgun wound and now he's being treated. :P

1. Police or others would never fire at him with a shotgun of any kind, that's absolutley absurd. (CoD kids don't start ranting about range etc, I will freak)
2. He had a shotgun, but like I said before, why would he simply wound himself? Completley illogical.

I'm just after watching the report, I don't remember anyone saying they did that.

Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
I don't understand why they'd shoot him with a shotgun, they would have to get pretty close you know, what with how inaccurate they are. Good thing it wasn't hardcore mode, though, because even being grazed by a shotgun blast in hardcore is enough to kill you.
Just kidding.. :o
Is there a live feed online of shit?

Cops almost always use tactical shotguns when entering a fortified building. Well here in America anyways, cant say much for other countries.

Yeah that's true, but I believe that's because they can be used to fire slug rounds that will blow locks out of doors as firing a shotgun in any room will injure anyone in your arc of fire which in most situations will result in more casualties than intended.
Should be noted that this happened out in a very open area, 'one of the last great wildernesses of Britain' is what the reporters called it. I guess it won't be reported much in America, you guys have alot of similar things happening not too far apart I hear..
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
Welp, he's dead. That's that I guess.
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
Ah so it was indeed him that shot himself, well, better that than someone else.
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
It was better off on him that he did shoot his self. If he tried to shoot his way out he would of had around 5 bullets go through his body which would turn out more painful than only shooting himself with one. Even if he did give himself up, he would serve a life sentence and there would be no point in him living if he did get out because everyone would still hate him and try and kill him themselves.

lol such an imagination. He wouldn't have felt the pain of 5 bullets (very precise number?) entering his body, a) because the trauma of the first one would send him into deep shock as it does to anyone not previously wounded by a projectile travelling at thousands of feet per second. b) The first bullet would have killed him, these guys are marksmen, not gamers. c) They wouldn't fire '5 bullets' at him in the first place.
Take your pick

You were never really at much risk, he said he was never intending to harm civilians. Saying no to that police officer could have had you detained and is absolutely idiotic when somebody tries to advise you for your own personal safety when armed operations are being carried out you listen, and do as your told, otherwise you get hurt and have nobody else to blame but yourself. Also his head was not 'off' at all, he was alive until he reached the hospital.
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
Raoul Moat did actually threaten to harm the public in the final days as he was upset at the coverage he was getting in the media.
If I was the copper at the scene and you said no I would have arrested you for failure to comply with a lawful order given by a Constable. They told you to do so for your own safety and the safety of others, not to be pedantic.

So what...this leads you to believe his head was off somehow? ...ridiculous. And btw, it's not just as simple as 'taking' the gun, that's just stupid tbh.

Again, it's for your own safety, doesn't matter where the hell you live, heck in the 1980 embassy seige if you were a hostage being removed afterwards you were treated as a suspect right up until they identified all the actual suspects dead (or the single survivor that got jailed) consider yourself bloody lucky you weren't thrown to the floor and plasticuffed.

Well then be a bit more grateful, I would have had you throwing up chunks in the spot you were standing, health doesn't make a blind bit of difference when it comes to being told where not to be by Police officers.
You think people with a stomach bug would be allowed to roam freely during that situation? I hardly think so.
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
To be fair, I couldn't care less if your Mum wasn't pleased about it. You do as your told by a Police Officer unless the instruction they are giving you is unlawful - otherwise you run the risk or being arrested for refusal or a more serious charge of obstruction.
-

Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
I'm so fucking glad this government is cutting back on the powers of idiot police on power trips. Making somebody stand outside their house for hours on end because of some vague safety concern is not protecting the public, it's being a prick. The police love nothing more than to abuse situations to repress other people. Just look at all the photographers who have had their cameras taken for being 'terrorists', or the people who have been searched and/or detained under the terror laws for attending anti-war protests, or the police who use the same laws to move people along literally just to fuck with them.
Every experience I have had with the police has led me to believe they are an army of cunts.
-
Re: Raoul Moat The "'Gunman'
I totally agree. They came with 6 guys, 1 woman, 2 vans and 1 car to pick up FOUR <15 y/o guys at my school who were NOT dangerous at ALL.

Oh fuck off you infant. Just because worse things are happening elsewhere it doesn't make these things any better. What kind of twisted logic is that? If you choose to ignore the flagrant human rights violations by British police simply because some other places are worse off then you are a bad person.

They're doing a job fuckwit, a job that makes this place better for the normal folk, not whiny little cunts like yourself that scream "WAAAHH HUMAN RIGHTS!" whenever the Police have to get hands-on with idiots who are causing trouble.
You don't deserve to live here, get out.

You really have no idea do you. You are so completely ignorant of everything that has taken place over the last 10 years or so. I love how you're acting as if my views are controversial and 'whiny' when even the government has admitted that the terror laws are being abused by the police and are taking action to reverse it. Our country has even been told by international courts that our police force is guilty of human rights violations, yet here you are pretending everything is fine. Then again, if you're the kind of person who would kick somebody out of a country for complaining about its police force, I wouldn't expect you to understand the value of civil liberties.
I'll leave you with a relevant quote from Benjamin Franklin:
"Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety deserve neither Liberty nor Safety"
