[Show]Model Scythe

Well I guess this will be my very first post here on ragezone since I made my account (now not as bad as a lurker? lol)
Anyways I put together this scythe from this morning till a couple hours ago. Anyways the main point is I want to throw it out here to see what people think of it. (Due note this will not be released here sorry)

Isn't that just a re-coloured version of another Scythe?
If not, then you've done a pretty nice job on the model itself.

It looks like Marluxia's sythe from KH.
Although this was created on FlyForFame, it doesn't really seem like you JUST did a texture revamp.
Gj on it though, impressive enough.

I compared them this apears to be a slightly modified version of it however the shape is modified but honestly I prefer the original

It will be awkward being RM with scythe rather than a stick, lol.

if im correct this was Xenn original and uve jsut stollen it?

Due note I did not steal his work, I used an example of his handle and that was with modifications of my own to get it straight. (If that is a big no no, I'll gladly take the time later to make a custom handle myself, it was more of a quick fix to get things started because it being my first full blown project to test if I could get things working)
Other than that there is no parts used by his model though I do have it. I used pieces of the Peace 2h Sword, and slowly put together the both blades. Though it was used as a base I still had to do a lot of changing in curves and such to get it to turn out as such. The bases of this is here *slight changes to fit things and make it a whole lot easier on me* also the texture came from this, just slight edits to fit things together to look some what nicer.

no I had asked Xenn to straiten the handel on it for me, x16 made it, great model but with just a few mods would be epic, however what I see in this thread I don't feal is it

the texture lacks complexity and the blade seams a tad bulky in it's height considering it's being held on by a small point , while that square is thing 90 deg of the blade seams a bit out of place ang would look alot better removed, then alighn the pole with the base of the cross

get that fixed and this would be a truly epic weapon

yeah as other have said looks a bit "bulky" think its because you made it out of an extruded spline just inset the top face polys then bring the outer vertecies closer together to give it more of a sharp blade look, and will look sweet

I can understand on the texture for sure. At the moment I just took it from the photo and added. Again it was kind of a quick fix since I was more excited being my first model to get something that looked decent and see how everyone thought of it.

To the where its held on and how it seems a bit bulky, I can see that and I will do something about it. I originally thought that and actually re-sized it to what it was then but it won't be to much of a problem to do that.

The blade-handle part (idk guess you could call it like a blade grip or something anyways..) was made to where it hooks on to the handle to the side (is in picture) and as for blade yea I realize I have to do more aligning and I still have to do more work with it which I might totally redo a different blade and free hand then do some extrusions to really make it look good. But anyways here is a top view of it in the o3d viewer; no work has been done since first post but I do realize there are some things that do need it just haven't had time to do them. *tips on this would be nice thanks*

Edit:(The blade ish a bit bigger it is slightly moved in the rotation key thing but its still gives the gist of it I think)
Also to heathj; yea I extruded the "blade grip thingy" from a I guess free hand kind of way. Though the blade was an edited version of the Peace Sword. Like I said earlier for now it will work but the polys are off so I will probably do another one to make it easier for texture.
