Problem with the C2 Animations

I am currently playing on a modded server that has C2 skills but C1 client. We have all the new skills, they gave us a patch so that we can see our new skills but the animation doent work.
All we see its te player just moving his hands when he is doing a self buff, like soul of sagittarius. We dont see the flames on the feet of the player.
Does anyone know, how to fix this?

Also, is it possible to use C2 Client for the C1 server? I mean if i change the IP in the l2.ini file

Uhhh... I'm not sure myself, but I assume all you would need are the animations
from the c2 client... which should be included in the C2 Texture pack, no?
Therefore if you have C2 Textures installed, you should be able to see the proper animations.
But, that is just a guess...

i dont think so actually coz C2 uses other encoding than C1

I'm sorry, but then how is it possible to use c2/c3 textures on the C1 Client at all?

You are correct tho, c2 uses a different encoding, however it
is possible to reencode the file using the C1 l2decrypt tool (after having decrypted it with the c2 decrypter version first).

So i should decrypt the C2 animations with the C2 decrypter and encode it back with the C1 encrypter??
Sounds logical.

Well you can either do that, or if you already have C2 Textures somewhere you can just use the animations from there instead.

No use of doing this. It must be done much more than just addind C2 animation files to the client side.
We got all C2 skills on our C1 server, and first thing i tryed was to replace those files. At least i managed to add sound effects for spell but still no animations...

Yah the animation calls are done server side as well, but being that I don't care to afford the resources in setting up my own test server I have no clue as to how one would add those. Which is why I just offered it as a suggestion ;)
