Re: You think you have beautiful car?
Engine sound is too high pitched for me. Plus I wouldn't buy any Asian cars, they sure as hell know how to do the electronics packages for the cars, but the cars themselves usually suck, especially when compared with German or US super cars.

I agree with it sounding too high pitched. A super car should have a deep grumble not a high pitched whine. Out of the two cars however I'd go with the Nissan GT-R over the Lexus LFA.
The back end of the LFA is far too bulky and large for a super car and doesn't really appeal to me. The GT-R on the other hand has lovely curves and 4WD.
I disagree with Asian cars being crappy. I personally believe that the US cars are crap build quality and don't offer value for money. However Asian cars have superb build quality (with the exlusion of Toyota ><) and reliability. Take the Kia Ceed for example, it has a 7 year warranty which suggests you're not going to have any hiccups for a long period of time.
Just my thoughts.

Actually Kia have just done a global recall on the Kia See'd

Re: You think you have beautiful car?
Agreed with the guy above. I have a Ford F150, never had a single problem with it. My brother has a Ford Mustang GT, hasn't had any problems with it either. Everything my family has owned from Ford, even going way back has been exceptional quality. A buddy of mine has one of the Mercedes SL55 AMG(2008), has about 130k miles on it, has had just regular check ups/tune ups, nothing has had to be replaced yet.

Re: You think you have beautiful car?
People are generalizing too much. There are no "Asian" cars.
Chinese cars - shit.
Korean cars - shit
Japanese cars - Excellent.
Yet all of them are in "Asia".
Nissan, Toyota and Honda are 3 of the best quality car manufacturers i can think of. The build quality of my 1989 Nissan Z32 surpasses anything i have seen in any Holden, Ford, Chev ect to date. I can't think of a single car i will ever buy which isn't a Nissan, when i finally get rid of mine I'll probably just replace it with a Z33.

I'll agree with that, I should have specified. But still, I might buy a Nissan, NEVER a Toyota or Honda. Friends have owned both and it seems like there in the shop more than there on the road. A couple fiends have had Nissans and have said there built well. Personally, the only Nissan designs I like are the 350Z and 370Z, and even at that I only like the exterior, interior is not for me. Plus they don't have enough power.

The only problem I have experienced with all Nissan's is that they rust easily, and the metal isn't all that great for protection either.
Honda's last the longest that I've seen (especially the older models), I mainly use a Toyota for transportation, and it's got incredibly well made parts.
The only issue that I'm not to :ott: about is that the parts, especially for a barely-produced 10-year-old model. They're really expensive, since the almost inexistent parts need to be shipped over seas.

Mine's 21 years old this month actually, and does not have a spot of rust on the bodywork. Never seen any in the engine bay or under the car either.
The metal isn't supposed to be for protection, most Japanese cars are supposed to crumple in crashes, which will absorb all of the energy and protect the driver. In an accident you want to see your car wrecked, then you know that it saved your life.
I know exactly what you mean about the parts also, in the past year alone i've spent over $6,000 simply on parts which needed to be changed (they were still original parts). I still need to invest another $3,000 into it within the next 3 months for new shock's and 100,000km servicing. It doesn't help either that you need to take it to specialty mechanics, there are only 3 mechanics in all of Perth who can work on them properly.

Re: You think you have beautiful car?
That's pretty slick! Makes me envy to those who have already owned it.

Re: You think you have beautiful car?
I'll stick with my kind of car, 1967 Shelby GT500CR Venom, 1954 Ford F100. Love classics like that. And I wouldn't complain if somebody dropped a Veyron in my lap.

Re: You think you have beautiful car?
Volkswagen is just the "shit". *cough*

The car at the video is pretty nice :). I'm just not a fan of the engine sound.

Re: You think you have beautiful car?
11.3 seconds on a $400k supercar.... Rip off? Not to mention only 123 MPH at the quarter...
I've seen an 85' Ford Crown Vic with a super charged 350ci police interceptor engine and a 4-barrel carb hit 125 MPH on a quarter with a time of 11.5 seconds. Granted it's not as fast but hell... It's not even 1/20th of the cost!
For that kind of money you can do so much more... For < $100k I can buy a '69 Camaro and put in a 429 big block, then drop in a massive super charger fed by dual 4-barrel carbs, then pop off the headers and replace them with larger racing grade ones. Additionally I could bore out the cylinders and install bigger pistons and turn the engine into a 440-450. Then just drop in a 5 speed transmission and I'll have a much much faster car. Granted it'll take some time mod but it'll be much faster off the straight away. Though this is only for drag racing, take it to the streets and you'll probably end up in a wall. =P
NoPeace - out

My my, that's quite interesting. Maybe I see more rust because you can go 50 miles in any direction and hit ocean where I am?
After all, rust doesn't only come from the salty air. Most of the rust on the car that I ride in is caused by too much exposure to the sun.

Eh, i live by the coast also, and i don't garage my car so in summer it's in 45 degree (Celsius) heat. Though i'm pretty sure sun light has nothing to do with rust, it just causes your paint to fade and internal plastics to turn to shit. I take care of my car though, so it's still immaculate even after being outside for the past 2 years that i've owned it.

Yes the engine sound is too high, and I totally agree I love Asian cars, they are built nicely and usually full of features and things, and yes Toyota is shit in a can.

Re: You think you have beautiful car?
If anybody hadn't heard yet, Bugatti just released its new version of the Veyron, the Veyron SuperSport. Its up to 1200BHP from the previous 1001BHP. Top speed is now 267MPH/431KPH. Bugatti drove the vehicle at up to 437KPH in tests, but didn't achieve that on the record day(due to wind).
Also, 0-60 is now the world record. 0-100 is now the record. 0-200 is now the record. I only have times on 0-60, couldn't find the others, but 0-60 is 2.2, which makes it the fastest production.

That's excellent! Too bad at max speed the fuel tank only lasts a little over 10 minutes aye? Raw speed isn't everything lol.

Image is everything in the supercar market. If you don't care about speed/usability you might as well buy a hypercar instead.

Re: You think you have beautiful car?
Its just a luxury sports car for rich people to blow their money on. I wouldn't want either car.

All this talk of hypercars, supercars and the Bugatti Veyron. I'd be happy with an Audi RS 5 coupe. ;D

Im happy with the 1.3 TDI SRI corsa ive got.

Re: You think you have beautiful car?
Sorry, I can't be satisfied with that, knowing the Veyron destroyed every other car it faced by more than a car length. The Lexus beat the Nissan by half a car length. :)

Re: You think you have beautiful car?
Lexus haz opening wing on the back. And no, I don't think I have a beautiful car since I don't own one (yet).
