Hello, ragezone,
i have a question.. if there is alredy solution for this on ragezone please post a link.. ive used the search function with no luck..
I would like to ask u if there is any way of turning off the log files.. so the server cant wright anything in them...
Cause they are getting insanely big, and i would have to delete them every couple of hours... ?
plz reply fast.

Why would you do that?
What does your logfiles make so large?
You could try to run cabal_config and set the "log level" to 0.
Its the question right after you entered your SQL informations.

That doesn't disable logging for shure.
The files are still created with one line.
You could, however, delete the /var/log/cabal folder and create a /var/log/cabal symlink to /dev/zero. But that's insane ;)
I experimented with it a bit and figured out its actually pretty simple.
Startup your server > Wait about 10 minutes > Delete all the files in var/logs/cabal and enjoy.
Once deleted, the server has no files to write to and won't create any new ones (for as far as i've seen).

If u delete a Windows Log File, it will be created again when a new event is going to be writed. As alphakilo23 said, it makes no sense at all. Just, make the log_level to a lower number than 3. It should fix ur problem.

It's just a strange behaviour of your server.
I see the way you are thinking. I expected the same effect.
Especially due to the worldserver constantly logging actions.
But for some reason the server decides not to create the logfiles.
Eitherway, problem solved, I'd say.
Do you have ever think in the possibility that ur server does not have any event to be writed, and because of this a new log file isnt been created? Just a guess, u didnt say the time you are running your server without logs.
If you delete logfiles while the server is running, they will NOT be created again until you restart your server... Instead of arguing with Sarah about this, you 2 should have tested it, yourself.
@Sarah: It's never a good idea to delete a file that's in use by a program.
