good point im on EU anyway, i reckon they've said somewhere they might drop it depending on lag complaints.

I would prefer it if they did what the original StarCraft on Battle.net did - you can select which region to go onto. Being limited on a specific region sucks.

Often, on SC1, there were better UMS games on the US-East server than EU during the evenings.

if you click on add friend, on the bottom right then it should be top left corner of the new window
