Ace Server Files - Utimate Release
I hope you all can live your dreams with these files; took a while to find them, I am not sure if this is the right thing; but I want to support ragezone as many people here have supported me since 2006.
The EP3 procedures required to run are stored in the SubaGames Database, so you'll need all of these files and make a functional server yourself.

Notes...
[Comet]: It's possible to start the EP3 field server, you must bypass servergroupinfo and do blablabla, then you can use it with EP-2 pre, im and log server.

Re: Ace Server Files - Utimate Release
You forgot to mention who the files originally came from.
Talk about not giving credit.
Since you did a half ass job, I'll be sure to release an actual working set of files.

Re: Ace Server Files - Utimate Release
and the client for this server?
-
Re: Ace Server Files - Utimate Release
You can use the suba client. Any of them will work. I've tried it with the latest. But I'd suggest using an older one.

Oh, indeed, Credits to SubaGames :?:
SubaGames FTP Servers:
- 74.200.4.154
- 74.200.4.156
- 74.200.4.161
Which were setup because of the server problems during the summer of 2009 for the purpose of backing up files.

Re: Ace Server Files - Utimate Release
You also forgot to mention
Credits: Jared
For discovering the files and giving them out instead of hording.
wouldn't have known those ftps were open hadn't it been for mua.
Edit: plus you're wrong. They came from 74.200.4.152. Genius
The backup Databases came from 54, nothing of use was on 56 or 61.

Oh really? the login of the REAL Suba database was on those IPs or didn't you know a PHP / ASP.NET script needs to connect with their database?
I said too much ^_^
Anyway; I'm out; I never known you / met you but you're a real prick; no wonder DragonLord kicked u out of the dev team; you're worth as much as you look and only got a big mouth =X
I'm gone forever; peaceeeee!

Make sure you don't got the databases atum2_db_1 & atum2_db_account already; if so; make sure there aren't any files located in the mssql directory => rename them and all should work fine. If you don't do the above things; you'll get errors indeed.
-
Re: Ace Server Files - Utimate Release
mh... dam i wold fuse them with my EP3 2nd DB, kk i have to build a other testserver.

Re: Ace Server Files - Utimate Release
To setup the files and server 100% correctly....
There are .doc files included in the first link; "AO STUFF\002SERVER"
They have explained everything 100%; just use google translate but there are images which show how to configure correctly.
As for the tools; you will have to use one too and Xor encrypt the ip; then patch this ip in the tools....
To setup a functional server with tools; shouldn't take more than a day if you're experienced with computers and debugging .exe's.
-
Re: Ace Server Files - Utimate Release
i might make an server like that.

Well i already have a working EP2 server that clients connect to perfectly. Only problem is that when i try to update it to Ep3 with these files, i get LoadConfiguration Error when i open up the Field server, believe i already have it edited to bypass the ServerGroupInfo. Any ideas Filter? (Probably missing the proper cfg's or something along the line)

Re: Ace Server Files - Utimate Release
I´ve a problem Restoring the Database. I get that Message from my Management Studio:
Error in CREATE DATABASE or ALTER DATABASE, since crossing the resulting overall size of the database the licensed limit of 4096 MB per database
How can i fix that? Or is there another Program to Manage SQL 2008 ?

Re: Ace Server Files - Utimate Release
Firstly thanks for the release...
Ya same error in mssql 2005 for me(Max size in 2005 is 4 gigs). Installed 2008 R2 and it says insufficient disk space...
Just how large are the restored db files???

you need to install Microsoft Sql Server 2005 - Standard Edition and not Express Edition.
