Need help with my iRose server
hello guys,
I'm tryin to open my old iRose server.
I have downloaded SQL 2000 and the server files (as I remember - I dont need more then that to get up the server).
now, I didn't touch this files and SQL for like 1 or almost 2 years, and I need someone to help me some :S
I just need someone to write me here the following things:
1. how to set the ODBC.
2. I have a router, whats ip should I set on the server files?
thats all I think :S
I just can't run the server, I dont know what mistakes I did.
maybe its because of my router? I need to open ports or something?
anyway, thanks very much for helpin, I hope someone could :]

yeah this is the easy part, I need some help with the SQL Databases ..
can you give me ur msn? I need just 10mins of your life, no more ;]
Re: Need help with my iRose server
Well, when you have your serverfiles done ( Just change Serverip % Subnet mask Which should be 255.255.0 if im right)
Then, you wanna set up your Mysql server and forward the ports displayed in a decent guide,
after that, install Navicat and upload the .SQL files into your server files folder called 'Database'.
If you run your world, char or loginserver and it says something like "Cannot find list_mobs" you should Right click on your Database called 'Roseon' for example, execute batchfile and find the .SQL file missing.
Also, you need XXAMP and run the Apache for your CMS (Optional)
Then you wanna start the servers and it should work..
Re: Need help with my iRose server
Fransh, you do know what ODBC is for right? It's for Arcturus. Spewing generic 'problem solutions' for OsRose won't do shit for Arcturus, not to mention your advice doesn't even pertain to the question.
Anyway, back on topic here...
Here's a link to the simple Arcturus guide here.
Re: Need help with my iRose server
I know absolutely nothing about the arc files but I do know MSSQL and MySQL databases pretty well.
I was just wondering why you would need to specifically set up ODBC for arc.
ODBC is just a windows API containing drivers and stuff for the database.
Don't the arc files come with built in drivers like the osrose servers do?
The only time I ever have to mess with ODBC is when I'm creating a brand new utility that needs to connect to a database.
Once the codebase is finished and compiled, the only thing I need to do to transfer it to a different computer is to make sure the basic driver package DLL is installed on the target machine.
