What you want to see happen

In the end what we say can end up meaning fuck all. Or what we can say will influence what happens here however little or however much it does. Non-The less I would love to hear the input from my fellow RZ GunZ users on what needs to be done. Lately everyone has been stirring up the pot saying that change needs to happen.


I'd simply like to have a thread for you all to state why you want change, what you want changed and how you think the best course of action to have that change roll out would be. Again it's all in the hands of the higher-ups but if nothing else we can all get on a level field of knowing how we all feel about the current situation going on here.


Who would you like to see gone as a mod, or given a strict warning to smarten up or pack your bags(if any) would you like to see more mods? less mods?

What new rules would you like imposed if any, do you have any suggestions just in general about the category? Just let it all out spill your guts onto the keyboard and see how much attention we attract here. (Keep it good. don't break any rules or get pushy)


Me personally? I wanna see Lambda gone. I'm fine with Styx and Stefan even if they don't ALWAYS get the job done right away, they get it done non the-less. In addition I'd love to see two mods added. One to take Lambdas place and one to pick up some of the left overs from Styx and Stefan combined. I won't give any opinions on who I would like to see as mod as I don't know who even wants to be a mod or how qualified they are, that's up to the higher-ups to decide and talk to them about if they are looked into.

I do like the whole member of the month idea. MONTH not week, that's far too often. Just my $0.02 on that though. I would love to see rules enforced more, and maybe even requiring users with <50 posts to view a specialty updated version of the forum rules for the GunZ Category(I'm pretty sure this is possible in vBulletin)

Just the minor tweaks to get this place back in line. How about you guys?

We can't expect moderators to give their entire time to the section, but this sections does need a little more activity from the moderators.
Lambda, I agree with. He's done a great job, but he is a little to inactive to be a moderator.

And of course as Phoenix said, Dawson for moderator!

I wanted alot to change , First of all Moderators....I hardly see Lambda online unless there's an emulator in the development section. Next , I'll like to see that everyone works together like they did years ago to bring change back into the GunZ Development Section and make it like Christmas 09.

I would like to see better releases, people stop this flaming/harassment/trolling/etc., advertising to stop and these completely idiotic threads to be put to an end.
Oh and of course, an active, experienced moderator.

Please stay on topic guys, I wanna get some serious posts in here so the thread will get noticed.

And just to mention one last thing @ Pedobear: Someones level of knowledge in the gunz world should in no way label them as a 'nub' or make their input any less valid than yours, mine, Travis, anyones. They post in this category just like you or I. they have a share in posting their opinions too.

That depends on the coder(s). GoGo has completely stopped for now. But that's not the kind of change that people are looking for...

@Others : The "changes" that you expect will happen only if there are new & active moderators who control this section regularly. An active moderator would set the trolls right, clear up the spam and not allow leeched material to last long. THAT is the change. What else could be the change? If it's adding new sections / rules, talk to the Super moderators / MentaL.

He first posted about this in the help section and we told him it wasn't the right place.
Then he goes to the Release section and posts the same thing.

I think that the moderators need to be... shuffled? I think both Killer and Styx do a great job, regardless of whether people like them or not, or their "skills" in GunZ. I can agree that we need to remove Lambda's modship, and then get another (or two) new mods, to help control all the nooby activity in the GunZ section.

However, we wouldn't need mods if it wern't for the masses of crap we get in here. I think we as members of the gunz section need to help out more in our own ways, such as pointing people to the newly created FAQ thread, which should solve most newbie problems.

I also agree with Your Master on the "more/better releases" topic, but think that's more of a minor problem, compared to the modless times we have, and the masses of annoying, repeated questions, and endless trolling/arguing.

KillerStefan is a very good mod he's an asset for this community.
I prefer member of the week, For a month is too long.

I also like the idea to have a section with a restriction, who is only available if you have enough postcount.
