How to setup debbo v4 + CMS!

Hi everybody,
This is a tutorial on how to setup a debbo v4 oldskool hotel with a site ( I call it a cms because cms sounds cooler)! I may add screenies later if really much people like this tutorial.

This tutorial is for Humans, smart Primates & Dolphins only (oh and aliens)If you arent one of these. please leave.



What you need:
- A good working brain.
-horramp (better than xampp but xampp is fine too)
-Zabboweb
-mirror 2(zabboweb)
-debbo v4
-ODBC(MySQL Connector)


Step 1:
Download Debbo V4 FIXED from MediaFire and extract it to desktop.Then,download horramp.

Step 2:
Install Horramp and open the control panel.
Start Apache and MySQL.Also,install ODBC Driver.

Step 3:
Go to PHPmyAdmin and create a database named debbosql.

Step 4:
Click on the tab 'Import' after you have created the database.Upload debbosql.sql after extracting Debbo V4 FIXED.

Step 5:
Open Debbo V4.You will be asked for your hotel name and some other things for setup.Then,Debbo V4 will close after you have done all that.

Step 6:
Then,go to MySQL configuration.Fill up all those things there.DO NOT CHANGE debbosql.sql.Then,Click test connection.After the connection is correct,Debbo V4 will close.

Step 7:
Open Debbo V4 again and change all the settings in it all you want.REMEMBER!DO NOT MINIMOZE HORRAMP INTO THE SMALL ICON.JUST MINIMIZE IT ON YOUR TASKBAR.

THIS IS ALL OPTIONAL YOU ALREADY HAVE A DEBBO SERVER RIGHT NOW!
USE THIS ONLY IF YOU WANT A CMS LIKE SITE!

Step 8:
You have now created a debbo v4 server but we want more!
Open zabboweb-v0.2.1.zip and extract it to your htdocs folder located at C:/xampp/htdocs

Step 9:
Delete the debbosql database that you have just imported and replace it with mysql.sql located in zabboweb/install/mysql.sql
or just delete the tables and import the databse in debbosql

Step 10:
Open in your htdocs folder config.php and edit it to your details
that you already have written in your debbo installation.

Step 11:
If you have done this correctly you will see a cool installer:thumbup: If not check your SQL details.

The installer is not that hard but for the noobs I will explain what some things mean:

URL TO YOUR SITE E.G: If you are using horramp or xampp ( you are) 001s.com or http://localhost/ If you only want to test it.

URL TO YOUR IMAGES E.G: 001s.com

URL TO YOU DCRS: search on ragezone for prehosted v14+ dcr and paste it here.

URL TO EXTERNAL VARS: same as DCR

URL TO EXTERNAL TEXTS: same as DCR

IS DEBBOPROJECT USEING SSO YES/NO: If you dont know what this is let it say no.

Step 12.

Hit the finish buttom. If you have done it well you should now have your CMS-like system!

Step 13.
Configure debbo with the installer ( use all the same ports,IP's etc) And start your server.

Step 14.

Congratulations you have just completed your hotel!
dont forget to edit your site because right now its way to ugly!
Dont forget to thank me if I helped. If your hotel isnt working make sure you have written the correct URL's IP's ETC

I'm just abit stuck on one bit...
I downloaded horramp and something else. but I can't find it, I looked in downloads, programs, any idea where i'll find it? if not should I download it again. plus im abit stuck with PHPadmin, I searched it do I download it?

You could use a holocms tutorial. In those tutorials they explain how to setup xampp(horramp) way better. And if you cant find it. download it again and save it on your desktop:)

Thanks, very helpfull tutorial! But when I open the server, I get the following error and in the wizard I can't connect to MySQL:

@Needz Part of that is in Dutch so I can't read it :S But it seems you need a new MySQL Connector :P

It's cause you need the MySQL ODBC 3.51 driver. Not 5.1.

I keep getting error messages, can someone make me a folder with everything set up, or a video ?

DebboCMS is called DebboSQL not CMS.ANd its like a NewSchool CMS.

The ODBC driver that I posted wasnt working. I updated it and it should be working now. reinstall ODBC and install this one: MySQL :: Download Connector/ODBC

Having the same problem with the CMS. I installed the ODBC and yet I still get this.

Did you guys set the password when you first installed XAMPP?

Right after you install XAMPP, if you go to http://localhost/ it'll redirect to some XAMPP stuff, go in and then you'll find some alerts about setting your password in xamppsecurity.php. Only set the password for MySQL (the top form, not the bottom).

This looks legitimate BUT I though debbo v4 was never finished?

Well. it is not finished. but its already working great. and alot of famous servers arent finished because they have too much bugs.

make sure your mysql drivers are correct and also make sure your mysql name,passwords are correct. If it still dont works use another version of ODBC.

Hehe, eindelijk een Old Skool server met een MySQL database. Maar hij laggt enorm (al met 1 gebruiker online). Heeft daar iemand een fix voor? Het zou beter zijn als iemand een MySQL database voor Debbo V3.5 maakt, maar bijna iedereen kopiëert alles, past het een beetje aan en zegt vervolgens dat ze het zelf gemaakt hebben.
Btw, goede tut over het opzetten van dit.

Hehe, finally a server Old School server with a MySQL database. But, it laggs extremely with only 1 user online. Does somebody have a fix for that? It should be better if somebody makes a MySQL database for Debbo V3.5, but almost everybody copypaste the files, edit it a little bit, and says they made it totally self.

You also needs a new client, cause this client is made for logging in @ the client, not at the site.

O, and you need to edit your SQL database, cause Debbo AND the database needs to know if somebody has logged in on the site.

i had that it's when the obcd isn't install propperly i needed the x64 rather that x32

Debbo 4 won't start up, only the startup picture shows up and nothing pops up after it.

The installer won't show up if I enter localhost (Via webbrowser). Text and some pictures shows up though, like: Login.. Register.. etc. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

I had the same problem. What you need to do (I assume that you got Windows 7) is that you have to register the MSWINSCK.OCX file which isnt on Windows 7. How you do it: Copy and paste the MSWINSCK.OCX file from the folder where your server is to C:/Windows/System32 then search for CMD (by typing in CMD in the search box)( Do not just press enter! ) When you've searched for it, right click CMD and click "Run as administrator". Now you just need to approve that your the administrator then a black window will show up with white text. If it says C:/Windows/System32 there then you don't have to do anything if it doesn't then:

Lol, no shockwave = no play.
You must have shockwave to play it, unless u want to port it to flash, but you cannot do that because the server is closed source xD

If you want to find xampp/horramp goto Start>Computer>Hard disk drives>xampp/horramp should be there!

hmm... thats amazing, only a few peoples can use this s..!t with no proplems...

and we ..? we have big problems and there is no answer....... :S

I hate Debbo and Hablux and Bloodline and all those other servers the never work. Go follow a HoloCMS tutorial because you get professional looking retro that actually looks like Habbo.

My servers are working, not perfect but it works!

My problem is only the cms of the "hablux"... also i must use my own layout for my hotel
