Is character customization a must feature?

So yeah been playing some mmo's now that doesn't really have much customization/gender locked for certain classes.

When u play a game, Is the customization/huge customization a must for u?
For me it is, well at least a little customization/no gender locks on classes, because.I always disliked playing a female character as a male.Not to talk about seeing clones of u around because of poor customization system.
Example 2Moons, I like archer classes but apparently Segita hunter was a female, wich is why I didn't go for it and went for summoner instead <.

Yeah, i'm one of those guys who pays lots of attention on the character look.Not sure if theres other guys around like me or is it just females that spends hours to check fashions lol.

I prefer games that let me customize my character. One of my favorite things to do in a MMORPG is customize my characters appearance..

Depends on the game. If its a really simple mmo to play then I don't care as much. If its a bigger game like wow, EQ, perfect world, etc, then yeah customization is a big part.

No one really pays much attention to what your character looks like anyways.

What makes games fun for me is having a lot of customization and a uniquely prepared gameplay, Which of course makes things fun and not boring.
