Xfire Question

Just a few general questions that the help guide on xfire.com isn't very specific with, to anyone who can answer them.

Q1: My Games are supported and installed, the paths are correct and I change my status to "Up for Game" and select a certain game. It runs, but the amount of time played, is not display on my profile. Do I run the game from the launch or double click the .exe from desktop/where it is located?

Q2: How do I remove "Friends of Friends" off the list? They somehow appeared there, no idea how, and no delete command. They keep appearing and everyday there is more and more until the list does not stop growing.

I would like an answer in this lifetime please. :)

EDIT- Q3: Why do they have nViDia skins and not ATI?! This is BS.

wrong section? could've asked in games or hardware/software.

I am not asking for them to reply right this second. I am asking for a reply eventually. Since the hardware/software section is probably the section that is least visited and viewed, I thought I would post it somewhere where it is more visible.

I launch it from my desktop... btw, without xfire running... it won't record the time if you're playing a game :P

Go to Tools, Options and under a section on the General tab, uncheck "Friends of my friends playing".

Atleast someone responded. And of course I know without xfire running it wont detect how much I was playing!! Atleast they have AMD and Ubisoft as their partners, what they should of had is ATI instead of nViDia and Coca-Cola instead of Pepsi. :)

EDIT- 1 more question, when I change game status to anything other then offline, will it detect how long I have played, etc..? Or do I always keep it set as up for game?

I always keep mine as 'online' and launch the game from the icon on my desktop.

My dad (whos the best comp. person) told me Xfire has spyware wrapped up in it.

I really doubt that..

yeah it spies on how long youve been playing each game AMFGZ


btw m it doesnt matter which status ur set to so long as its running itl add to ur time played

it wont update right away give it a while

you cant delete friends of friends on their own
you have to delete the friend

It's a strange program. Doesn't detect World of Warcraft or GuildWars right away while I am playing. Updates it after I log off and reboot my pc. And still gets the time played wrong, because I timed it myself. It often screws up. But when playing a game such as America's Army, it detects as soon as you launch it. Wonder why..?
