Sticky threads in the Releases section.
Threads like:
-How to post Release in forum Gunz Online
-ELU/ANI Blender Importer
-Sticky Thread Download Center - (Releases, Fixes, Guides, more!) Updated Daily!* (Red - is a lie and people don't even view this thread. You still see people asking for stuff when it can be easily found.)
are pretty useless. No one looks at those threads and the ELU Importer certainly doesn't need to be in sticky.
(I'm not listing my threads because every new server being developed needs quests and models)
Wouldn't it be better to have all the server files' threads in sticky? New comers now, probably don't even know about 2007 files.
My repack contains the English version of the 2008 server / client files.
So, Leoric's 2007 files thread and Gregon's October 2008 thread with Jacob's modded stuff in sticky would be nice.
Here's my suggestion for the sticky section:
-July 21 2008 Files (By KillerStefan or my Repack)
-October 2 2008 Files (By gregon13)
-Gunz June 2007 Server Files (By Leoric)
-B-2-O MPOG Web (By Maxteam)
-Kore Fix ASM PAtch July 21 08 and June 07 (By gregon13)
There's a poll attached to this thread. Choose what you feel.
If you don't agree, just state why (for my knowledge).
I hope the mod's take the right decision. If they feel that the current sticky threads are fine, I'm cool with it. It's only a suggestion to reduce spam.

True. Just make a thread that has all the clients with the appropriate server files.
I find that would be a lot easier.
And Hackers should update his thread with the newly added releases/tutorials, at least.
IMO, it's a bit disorganized.

Please vote if you agree / disagree.
@allen03: Why do you disagree?

Why make this thread anyway? >.>;

Because there are unnecessary threads in sticky and people might start asking things like "Hi where can I find 2007 files plz?", etc.

Yea that will be nice, all Server/client in one thered and sticky, no need to Find 1by1...

Re: Sticky threads in the Releases section.
This is another useless thread , because the 2007 server files were stick'd already and threads asking about the server files still came.

It "was" in sticky. It's not anymore. People need those files because not every beginner can use OllyDBG and stuff to customize their 2008 servers.
And people never asked for 2007 server files. They only asked for Quest/Clan servers.
Having "ELU/ANI Importer" and "How to post a release" is very useful over having all versions of available server files in sticky according to you, right?

I posted all the serverfiles in the FAQ and I wonder why I saw about 5 help threads asking about them.

Which FAQ's? And where have people actually asked for unedited 2007 server files?
You still didn't tell me why having the Elu Importer or a format to post a release is more important than having server files in the sticky. It's common sense. Only the extremely special people would actually ask for server files.

Styx created a FAQ , looks like you didn't look at it. I think the thread on how to post a release is useless , like if anyone don't know how to release. A thread should be created with material dealing with blender.

Re: Sticky threads in the Releases section.
@Arcelor, edit your post and say that you don't agree because that's what you voted for.
@Military, I told you, no one cares about Download center or an FAQ thread. Having a direct thread is best. Also, if you think this thread is useless, please vote for "No I don't agree". I don't want to discuss more about this since many people get the point of what I'm trying to say and some don't.

Re: Sticky threads in the Releases section.
shanti plz.
People should understand that being 13 years older is a basic requirement of starting a Gunz server.

Well , that's the most direct thread we have so far .

Re: Sticky threads in the Releases section.
Wow, you just won't get it will you? I don't know what problem you have with the 2007 server files being in sticky rather than ELU Importer or whatever.
Thread closed to prevent FURTHER spam. Just vote and move on.
If any of you think it's not worth having server files in sticky but in some "FAQ" thread, good for you.
EDIT : Oh great, we're not able to close threads for some reason and there's no mod online on RZ or MSN right now. q.q.

Re: Sticky threads in the Releases section.
Looks like someone's on a period.
And FYI, Max's guide is still there in the tutorials section.

what's the use , from when I came here in Jun 09 those 07 files were stick'd , request threads still came in about the files , so anything you do is useless....but I must say there is some usefullness coming from your point of view , I'll agree for now.

Re: Sticky threads in the Releases section.
Not everyone asks for basic server files. 1/20 people do that. Others just ask for modded files like a Quest/Clan server.

I'll release my old server files today , very modded but I'll take out Evil GunZ C7 Interface.

Server Files wouldn't have interface files anyways.

Re: Sticky threads in the Releases section.
The October 2008 files came from me as well.
Also, RepublicOfAstra released the June 2007 files, not Leoric/System32.
There is a good reason why those threads are stickies, it's because it brought development further but I agree, some stuff can be destickied and some other stuff could use one.
You'll see the change soon.
I'm locking this thread for now, if you want it reopened you can contact me.
