Basically someone with all ingame priviledges.
Like, for example, they're capable of Spawning items and mobs, changing levels, etc.
Proper thread titles, PLEASE! Is it so hard to formulate "What is a Game Master?"

They make events , ban hackers etc..
A gamemaster, is a moderator in-game, this counts for every type of game.
Mostly they also have powers on the forums.

But on the topic which is pretty much answered,
Banning hackers, hosting events for the players, helping out the newys and basically the responsibilities needed to keep the game stable and fair.
