[Question] Xbox360 on My PC Screen?

I am not sure I am in the right section, but I didn't knew where to post it else.

So let's stay on topic!

Is it possible to connect my xBox360 to my Pc Screen
(I have an Syncmaster 2253 BW from Samsung)

Do I need some special cables, if yes, which?

So at the answer, I googled VGA Cable (I live in holland)
So what one should I take? Or what one do you recommend?

Should be, im sure there is an adaptor... or if you have an elite, tried the HDMI port on your pc? (if u have one)

You need an HDMI cable.

Connect it to your xbox and then on your PC


P.S: I think only laptops have HDMI place to plug it in, well try.

Yeah, elite comes with one, and im not sure if P.C's have one, but this laptop does :D

You have two options!~ HDMI cable if your xbox supports it (Xenons don't) and your monitor too. OR if you have a GFX Card with built in capture card you can do it that way and use it's software (slight delay this way) or do the same with a 3rd party capture card.


Those are the only ways you can get your 360 to show up on your PC Screen

Can be done with the VGA cable, or if your 360 has HDMI and your monitor HDMI or DVI, then you can use HDMI, in the case of DVI on your monitor you will need a converter, since both are digital this will not be a problem.

yah a hdmi cable ive heard about this on youtube as well when iwas looking up a few videos there is also this adapter thing which has it all linking together but i cant remember what it was called sorry

I'm not that familiar with xboxes but this might work, perhaps:
HDMI female naar DVI male adapter [VC-004G] - €5.95 : Kabeltje.com, de toonaangevende kabel leverancier

So the HDMI cable will go in to the xbox on one side, and stick the adapter to the other end which then goes into your monitor.
