Fix some stuff

Hello,

i need some ideas how to fix some maps etc.

Things need to be done:

1. GV ( cant find the NPC. Its not there where it normally is )
2. Territories ( since i use Beaties files, the Territories are disabled. I cant enter the territory war and i cant click the territories Button on the map, its just darkened out )
3. Arena in ADC ( when i try to enter, the client crashes with an error message about a missing file in ../patcher/ )
4. Arenas in Citys ( NPC tells me that the Arenas are disabled. Thats a tasks.data problem, i know but i cant find anything about entering the arenas, just about "rooms" )
5. Horseraces ( Its cool to enable Monthly race but i need a ticket for it. The ticket is from daily race but how can i enable the daily ? )
6. How can i change the Inventory of a Store ? ( I want to change the Black Market NPC to a Store )

If someone can give me some hints, whould be fine :wink:

1. I don't have a working GV (I opted for ronnys working FF) So sorry I cannot help with this.

2. same place you edit pvp=0/1 you change battlefield=1 to enable TW (gdeliveryd ~ gamesys.conf)

3. which client do you use?

4. surely you do need to edit your tasks.data if you actually cannot enter any arenas for any reason. I had this problem with my base release before I worked with tasks.data; someone had changed the req. level to 150 and I had to go into tasks.data to change the 150 back to something that made it possible to enter. anything that is going to control NPC dialogs and why you can or cannot enter arena will be controlled in tasks.data. So start editing at quest #6027-6034

1. You can use ronny's frost and the gv aipolicy fix, IF you make a copy of gs and put a different aipolicy in it then start it manually

3. All the arenas are fine for me... you realyl should just try and use the pwi downgrade by ronny, he put a lotttttt of work into it from what I can tell

5. Daily is automatic and based on server time, monthly race I believe is also automatic but you can manually start it with a creature builder from the events list
6. If you mean you want to add stuff to sell at an npc, follow my Elements.data guide(thank me on my post here) OR use my sELEdit config that contains a lot of that inline

For point 3 im using a modded HNG client version. Found the Arena quests in tasks.data. All are min level 150. I'll try with min level 10 now :D:
for ADC i guess the client is missing the map.

I do recommend PWD client from ronny, so far the only thing that is urking me (personally) about this client is the fact that is14/cave 69 does not have water. Other than that it seems to be a really solid client ;) :D

If you haven't done anything serious to the client I highly recommend you change to PWD client as it has wayyyyyyyy less bugs and problems in it, ronny did put together a decent patch to turn PWI into a 1.3.6 compatible

in the same post of the fix i use the hrace009 server and i cant enter to Hall of dusk, (unable to enter) only for teleport but the chapters are disable, in other question, when i whant edit a npc this appear ERROR and other cant see the npc, i hace to update the element? and how can edit a npc for example the nirvana furnace for edit the items to create the armor change the rpture cristals for mats de hall or another items, and how can a update the aipolicy whit the saevie.
Sorry for the noobs question but that i am a big noob in this, i apreciate the work i hope du some thing when i have the skills for edit and more many question but i think the last xddd

1.- start the map hall of dusk (twiligth tempple) i cant enter for the portal only by stone, in the temple cant enter in the rooms all says unable to enter.

And there is exactly my problem. 68 people using the client for mah server and we sepnt more than a month now translating all the stuff and changing dds files etc
So we cant change the whole client now, people will take torches and forks and run after me :D:
Also mah connection needs about a week to download the 3.2 GB of the client again so i think i have to change things in the one we have. :/:

1. Use sPCK to open a big pwi patch (like: ec_patch_350-420.cup)

2. Then use the files from pwd patch and mix with the "ec_patch_350-420"

3. Change files you need (DDS, serverlist and other such things to fit your taste)

4. Make a whole new patch with all of those datas

You can still use your elements.data and dds files etc, just merge your changes into the pwd and it will work perfectly

Now would be the exact perfect time to change, before that number grows much bigger than 68 (unless you don't expect it to [staying more on the 'private' side of things]). all your DDS edits really simple to move over. I was using HGN client for the longest time; and I had a LOT of modified SURFACES and INTERFACES and whatnot. I still seem happier with the PWD client overall. That only one urk I still have is that is14/cave69 has no water :/:

Just extract all your modifications and move them on over the the PWD client ;) :D I only really hope that sometime soon myself or someone else figures out how to fix the water in is14/cave69 :/:

It'd also be really nice if the angelica logs were more useful then they are now...

For developing (like your translation files) i would recommend using source control i.e. SVN for the files you've changed (like i did for PWD).

• This will give you better access (you don't have to search for the modified files in the client) & control (fixes/updates) on the files you've worked so hard for
• More scalability (changes) and flexibility (independend of underlying pw-client)
• Also it's easier when working with multiple people on the same project

Ok so i will check that all on a secure side. Copying client and start a testserver to play around with.
Btw, the thing most of mah players complained about is still the Autopilot. We miss this thing :D:
Hope someone will find out how to get this thing to work.

And if someone finds the ID of the "Activate monster creator" thing to let it snow whould also be cool :D:

The snow I believe starts when the snowmen do... which is CB 2

I tried that but i only see the snowmen. Must be another number i guess. I know someone of mah team started the snow once. Unfort??? ( dunno the word, mah english is a bit rusty i think ) he forgot the number and i dont want to start events i dont know on a live server.
I'll try when i play around with test server. If i find out what number it is i will post :wink:

I am pretty certain the snow comes with the snowmen, but you could look around in npcgen for other linked ones to that creature builder or are set to be automatic on that time...

Or maybe you arre missing some gfx in the client since even I had some issues with gfx originally before I merged a lot of pwd into my client

Thats the same list i already have.

btw the snowmen are not only in ADC. Event ID 2 brings snowmen into every city. And starts the snow. I just dont have the graphics file ( thanks to das for the hint :wink: )

The 134 ID with the boxes was for a race thing. Pretty funny to catch noobs :D:

for me ID 9 does nothing. 10 starts Monthly race and 11 the yearly race. I think 9 is for daily but nothing happens at all.

Anyone found the 125 boss ? Never found him.

Could it be this one? Someone found it on PWI forums, it was after TB patch though so it might be different one.
