GuildWars private server!

Greetings!

First, anyone who never play GuildWars, miss a great experience and a step in the MMORPG world!

Now, what I would like to say is, that I think that it would be too awesome if we had a GuildWars server emu. I know that it takes time to build and you need a lot of knowledge, but I would dare spend a year or more, if just I had the knowledge for it.
And now you may think, what the hell should we use that for, the game is not P2P. And well, I agree but:

1. Private servers or always modified, which always changes you gaming experince and sometimes, you get a lot more fun than on the global servers.

2. Some ppl just don't ever pay for a game like this, even not though it's one time payment! I would love to see a lot of my friends playing this game!

3. I'm afraid that some day, this game will accualy become P2P (don't hang me up, I havn't read the EULA) or someday, the service may simply stop!

4. Most private servers are often more "friendly" and social, because that there are fewer players and therefor, ppl need to talk with others.


Think this is it. I can't find more arguments at this time, but I will add if some comes to my mind. Please argue with or against :-) This was my opinion...

would be sweet. I am excited for someone to make it.

Of course it would be a good idea but the lack of knowlege many people have its hard to believe it will be completed. Especially when guildwars is released not to long ago..

As I have the game its a pretty dumb idea, It would be cool. But what it offer? GW already is easy to level and obtain items etc. Would be nice for ppl who dont own the game but it only costs

Ahhh, thats a very good point, I didnt think about the level cap being removed. Thats one reason I would def play. If the private servers could be customised id love to play. Eg, bigger store, higher max level, stronger weapons etc then it would be great

Exactly! Like most other games are able to recieve new stuff, like maps, weapons, skill and so on, I think it's possible (no, I know it) with GW too...

Yes ide love to play problem is that its not as simple as saying your going to make it......

can alter some things, but I would love a bigger store doubt that can be done on a priv server tho. But higher weap damage, uncap levels, etc will be possible. I would also like to see a guild storage in guild hall, and maybe a treasury. I was gutted to see 4 henchmen when I got i!

Would be sad, indeed. But seriously, they should start doing something! We can't keep as lvl 20 all the time, we want some serious challenge!! I know that the concept is differenct than most other MMOG, but at least they could make a server serie, for those who also want lvls!

It's not supposed to be a a game that challenges you, its about pvp.

:O i just started it..its rather addictive and very frustrating at times when your weak and clueless like my self. im just shocked that the cap level is 20 :O surely the game makers will bring out an update if possible...

They'll have expansions to buy which will be about 30$ each.

And Cuias, dont be so cheap... You can spend some money to play the real game, I doubt your poor. :)

i would get this, but to be honest im sick of how on pvp all the hackers ruin the experience, its gonna be too soon when someone finds a loophole and does 1 hit hack like on mu and ruins the whole fucking game.

im just gonna get a psp and leave it at that.

my friend has it, its a great game, but these types of games will get hacked and soon people like this will post about private servers and how $50 is too much for a game.

Private server for modified play? Guild wars was made for this kind of play. There has been talk about GW Private servers, and it tends to lead to nowhere. A group of people would rather buy the game for cheap on internet than spend a year or two making a private server that would probably crash, while spending atleast another few months of DEDICATED work to take off the level cap. Server emu's arn't easy to begin with, and something such as GW would only be harder. Besides, with the streaming servers and all the districts, you better have a incredibly large server/computer to be hosting all of this. I have no problem with your fantasies, but realisticly, it's too difficult.

i would play becuase there would be more items and maps and u cud be over lvl 20 but i would prefer the exp to be low

I dont see what you guys see of so special in this game and calling it mmorpg is almst a lie yes its mmo but for miqqions and lvling up your limitid to a small party and thats gay u might just as well take mercs with u the gfx are good but does have a lot of bugs an saying ppl missing out on this game is a lie there are much betetr games out there. Enywas I doubt there iwll be a privet server so soon and probly not for the next coming year ^^ this thread is quite usless and all that ppl think is yes it would be cool but that evrybody knows the anser levrybody wantes it thats not the prob the ppl that voted otherwise just thaught you where silly wasting lots of time. One thing that lots of ppl on rz got to learn is somting called "Patience" you wait no use to request teh dev team wont do enything about it cuz they probly working on an other game or rz doesnt wat to suport this game i see threads like this all the time plz make "plz make a privet server for this" istead of begging make it yourself cuz honestly rz ppl are arledy working verry hard on other things. What i recomend? Wait with time you will see what is coming i remeber when ppl was making a mess about 0.99 mu server now they can all go *** ****XD but plz avoid making threads like this I may not be a mod but its verry usless. I duno what you where trying to get out of it because you knew the anser ^^
