Suicide on flashback(Live stream) today in Sweden.

Today, aprox 12 hours ago from when I wrote this post, a young man (21) killed himself (hanging himself with a internet cable) while streaming the pictures from his webcam to the internet.

Now, this is a both interesting topic. And a very tragic one.

He basicly posted a post on flashback.org (a swedish website) saying he was going to do it, said he had taken painkillers and then he was posting about 3 more posts, then said he was about to start regretting it and said "well lets go then" then you could see the stream where he killed himself and did not move anymore.

The discussion here is what do you think drove him to want to post something like this on a forum with about half a million users?

Another reason to why I posted this was to make people aware of this :P it's pretty damn sick.

Also, what do you think about all the people thinking he was trolling and telling him to go for it?

Suicide is an act for losers and there is no compassion on my part those who end their lives. They relieve themselves of the pain and leave so many who care about them with so much more to endure.

The net is full of trolls who keep claiming such stuff for attention. The crowd cannot be blamed for his actions. There was no possible way they could have known and even if they did know he was being serious - there was very little the could have done in the mean time to stop it from happening.

If this really happened, then it is indeed a sad thing but sad for those who have to endure the post effects of this and not the one who died. Suicide is not something that can be forgiven. Life is a beautiful thing and Death is not a solution. It never was nor will it ever be.

This sucks.. Never seen anything like this before.

That guy must have been hanging too much in the net rather than going outside socializing.

My friends son has Aspergers and it doesn't make them suicidal , its basically an emote issue, they cannot recognize expressions, emotions and all that jazz, its rather sad in truth.

I read this in the papers this morning :( quite sad.

I'm glad you're not a support worker, because that way the rate of suicides would increase by about 500% atleast...

Seriously, you have no right to judge someone unless you actually know what they are going through, I worked with a woman who was raped, beaten, mentally abused all her life by her father and others, now she is still alive, but if she had killed herself, do you still believe that it's sad for those around her, do you still believe that life is something beautiful?

I truly hope you don't believe that.

I live in Sweden, so I read why he wanted to kill himself, there must have been something ( not Aspergers ). Cuz it sounded like he had a great life.. and the people that said he wouldn't dare to hang himself, sucks to be them..

I'm Swedish aswell, from what i've read he seemd to be a happy guy but he had some social issue which made him kinda lonely. And this "Suicide" thing was some kind of "coercion".

Yeah, he had a great life, but he didnt have any good social "skills" and didn't have many friends.
