[DEV] Seal Online Emulation (Tech Talk not A Help Me Place)
I have an update, map warps are possibly going to be solvable now, to understand how they work check this link: http://forum.ragezone.com/f111/seal-...-setup-700568/
With the new information in the link I have been able to create and compleate effectively a warp between Elim and East Red Soil, warp links from East to West Red Soil, and Semi have the West Red Soil Warp that goes to Upperstream of Galasis River done, but I ran into a bug, which I will fix later, as its late nowm, and going to bed LOL!

I don't know if I mentioned this earlier, but another reason this has to be in English is becuase the wagoners, (the guys who TP you arround), are not in english, so I can't tell where they going to warp us???

I just spent a few hours messing with the client, and doing some tweaks, gaining headaches, releaving them, and doing it all over again, this time I am taking baby steps, and it is moving along nicely.
The New Client will be released once I have finished making things more compatible to the server, but still allow you to find things and not get lost, I am refering to English users.
This is the following changes to expact in the new version once it is released:
A:: Menu section at bottom will be in English.
B:: Item and Item Bank are in English.
C:: Status in English
D:: Exit Menu will run and look like the old English Seal Menu, having the option to Exit, Settings, Return to menu, Cancle Exit, and other things like that. It will of course be fully in English.
E:: The Options Menu will be in English where you turn off and on music, and toggle other settings.
F:: Loading screen and Loading graphics will no longer say 458Seal but will show the proper login like old English Seal did:
G:: Loading bar will look different, login window will look like old English Seal as well, and will not have the option to create a new account anymore, meaning creation of account will be done some other way, sorry guys...
H:: The Server choices will be 1 and 2, there is no longer all those dead servers which was pointless, only need 2 servers, 1 for regular, and one for PK.
I:: Still working on the server side of this, but when you create a new character, there will be in English and icons of 3 choices, Elim, Newbie Town, and Lime, just like the old English Version :thumbup:
J:: There will be other internal none noticable changes, don't be scared if one of the NPC's happens to speak English, as there are some that do with this new version, but will not be a total english conversion yet, and the chats will still be in Chinese and story and all. However the Trade Icons, Buttons, other misc things like that will be recognizable English version, and easier to understand and recognize.
K:: I am trying my hardest to do this part, but I am going to attempt to fix some of the model drops, I had them fixed before, but a glitch came up, but I am fixing it, I had to re-do the whole client and start over to try to attempt this again.
I will Explain, For instance, currently, Elements, Crystals, Rubies, Diamonds all have the same model when they drop, I had them actually looking like there proper models the other day, I am going to try to attempt to fix this in the new version! :w00t:
L:: I will also try to clean up this version, and make it work like it is supposed to. Hopefully everything will run smoothly.
PS. The Maps will also have English words when you move your mouse over the WARP icons on the map. For instance in Red Soil, if you move your mouse over the north warp, it says To Elim rather than some chinese words.
M:: and I almost forgot, the new character creation screen is in English! :)
N:: FONTS are LARGER and more READABLE!!
O:: Elements on Monsters are in English!!!!!!!!!!!! Example: Darness, Earth, Fire!!!
Client is not the major issue right now though, its the server side thats the problem currently, alot of the Data needed is missing from teh database and has to be re-created all over again. This is a pain for me and anyone else trying to develope this game... There will still be issues with the maps as always... and mobs, but I promise you alot will be fixed and re-vamped! :lol:

Guys I made a boo boo, some of the maps don't work, I am going to upload the MAPS.SPAK for you to use, or if you have the old MAPS.SPAK exctract it and place it in your maps folder.... apparently when updating the maps folder, some of the maps got corrupted or unrecognized by the game, I am guessing this is becuase I was using newer maps that this version of Seal don't recognize?
Anyways I am sorry about that mistake, I am only human heh... and plus I been trying very hard to get this to being better!

I need your help Guys, I tried making a video, but apparently I can't seem to fit it in 10 mins time.... There are some issues that need fixing, and its the only thing I need help from you guys for. I could care less about mobs, i can place them, warp and NPC's included.... however I may need help with the NPC's translations and to knwo which NPC is which.
I need to know why in some maps, monsters do not move, and why in others they go trhough walls, and why in map 104 aka Upper Stream of Glasiss River, I can't hit the monsters, but can use skills on them.
Why does Ohm move when he is not supposed to? why do Bosses move that are not supposed to?
Is there triggers, is there .xml files I am needing in the servers map folder? Please guys help me resolve these issuses, also help me get warp sou ID to matchp with the MOB ID!
If your clueless as of what I am talking about, then spend 2 weeks playing with the closed Seal Server and Client I have provided and you will be pulling your hair out too about this! :grr::grr::grr::grr::mad::mad::?::?::?::?:

hi ace,there is no problem to change client folder name from "458SealOnline-5-27" to another name..client still works fine.
there is list bug of client,perhaps server file didn't match with some file in client file.
i tried to listing BUG in this New Client..so we can work step by step to make better Server.. :P:

11.Language for The Client still mess up :tongue: (big works for change this)

BIG Promblem is to undestand all component in server file :grr:
The reason the sounds are silent in some maps, and some maps have wrong music, is becuase I was trying to get rid or rplace the christmas music, it was driving me nuts.... But I failed lol

Current Mobs List can be found in the new server downloads, list removed due to taking up too much forum space! Updated regulary, MOBS 2700+ will not show up, this is what I need help with is getting these Mobs to appear and visiable.

its automatic, and thats not "GM" commands, thats just console commands, the GM commands inside the world are different, and to change exp on and off type /exp1 - normal drop and exp rate, and /exp2 is already 2x drop 2x exp not sure if it can go higher than that...

just look at folder map in server file..file with extension *.map all in chinnese, :tongue:,dont know yet if its tranlated to english,so warp command all in name of town.

Here will be the new commands to warp once released, I am leaving others the same untill I feel I can come up with a good name for them, Open for Suggestions, but they have to be short like 8 characters. But here is the commands that have been fixed so far:
Newbie - Town Begginer
Elim - Town Elim
Zaid - Town Zaid
Lime - Town Lime
Madelin - Town Madelin
Silon - Silon Malitia Forest
315 - Year 315 Map
Sevis - Town Sevis
CrossForest - Cross Forest
Shikara - Shikara Valley
Ohm - inside OHM Room

suggestion from me,better all command in lowercase letter,make it easier to remember for everyone :thumbup:

I just tested it, i think it does not matter, lower or upper case, it reads it universally so I am keeping it like this....
but please do me a favor before I release the new server files, please tell me the commands for:

Oh also I am still having trouble understanding how the warps work, 516 does indeed = 20 in the maps database, however when I got to 528 on up they begin to act inconsistant...

OK People here is a quick re-cap of the list of things needed done at the moment that would help me greatly, I know we need commands and other things to happen, but I think we should focus more on the following:
Getting Maps to work correctly:
Find out why the hell these maps are not working right? Does the server files need to be Hexed to fix this? Will the maps 1 2 3 5 22 ect. the ones in the main maps folder for the client work with the server? I plan on trying this, but really need to find awnsers fast!
The current problems again are, some maps monsters do not move, others they move but go through walls and rivers and such. The other problem is the monsters are not agressive, and do not attack first, and when they do attack in maps they can move in, they stick to you like bubble gum! :?:
Warps are not fully done, finding out the codes:
Guys Let me explain one more time about this, if your not understanding.... there is a maps section in the database files or sql files that tells where WARPs will spawn the player at. Apparently the numbers within the maps section in the database does not match the ID number of the MOB ID, WARPS are considered as Mobs, and therefore have there own ID starting at 516 and up. I do not know where it ends, but I do know there is over 100 at least between 516 and 616 or so. The problem is the Database maps section contains a field called SOU which is short for Seal Online Unit, or something like that, not sure what the U means. Anyways, the SOU does not corrispond or match with the WARPS Mob ID number.
Here is a prime example of a mob file for a WARP 516:

This is the most important task currently as this is how we travel in game, and need these warps to work! They are also related to NPC's! So please help with this...

As said, is there an issue with Paths? It seems there is, or monsters would not be acting this way? Like I stated before, the Monsters are not acting correctly!
Finally, is there monsters missing from the database or from the client?
Currently there is an issue with the Monsters 2700+ not appearing in game, and using these values does not crash Seal or the Server, it is like it is ignored.

Skills:
Some Skills do not work, others are not acting right, and some refuse to work properly.... help me with this as well, perhaps even write more xml skill sets??
So please help me with these issues before any others, as these are the top prioities right now, once these issues are solved we can get to the next step of placing warps, npcs and monsters, and hopefully if we can get a server up, test it there. And the Rest of the Bugs fixes wil follow!

Okay I found out some shocking new information, apparently I can use the other maps for control of the mobs, however, there is not enough room in the server file space for me to put all the maps there, so this will pose to be a buigger problem... the mobs still are not agressive, and I am still testing to see if they go through walls in some maps. In doing this change, I had lost East and West Red Soil Maps movement, meaning the map did not get loaded in the server information file, and now the mobs don;t move in these maps, so this means I will have to find some other way to load all the maps up. it also means that the reason in maps 20 and 25 Dod and the others are not loaded within the server, so that is why they DO NOT MOVE!~ But this still does not explain why the mobs don't attack and are not agressive... And it does not guarantee BOSSes like Ohm not moving... Just thought I would share this info with you guuys, keep me informed if you find anything helpfull in discovering how to fix this! then drop down menu for Select language change to Chinise (Hongkong S.A.R)

Thanks but no cigar, thats helpfull ina sense, but without the maps loading correctly, that info is kind of pointless, besides I know what 90% of what all that means, thats not my issue, the issue is I can't find a relation ship to the MobID and SOU ID yet.... and I got a big problem.... Did you know that not all maps are loaded into the server? That there is maps missing, and I tried loading them as a seperate number like 25m to shorten them up a bit, and it wont load them all and only loads like 15 maps out of 94!!!! No wonder we are having issues!!! :(

I do not use the editor, like I just had said, I understand what teh lines do 90%, and I do it manually not by that program... but if you can find out a translation that makes sense, and not google or yahoo bable fish, then let me know, otherwide, I will continue to do it like I am now....
Oh and I forgot to mention that program numbers the xml's making it very confusing, I am using a naming system i can understand, and Seal loads them xml's perfectly fine without a bunch of numbering system like that program does!

but not all maps are loading, there are 94 maps total! I dunno how to fix this, I even tried search for 23 or 24 and replacing it with 94 to up the max map loaded I guess? Well that did not work, any suggestions???

one of them is differences with the map_id,it doesn't match each other.
eg.: madelin in private server,map_id=13
madelin in offcial server,map_id=103
so if my list doesn't match with your map_id version just change that to your version type..

Ok folks, Life is more important than this little project, so I went to my Sons B-day party yesterday, so there will be delays..... however, the show must get on the road, so I will explain what we have been up to, while you was sleeping!
A: Testing the Server extensively!
B: Plotting Coordinates!
C: Re-Working the whole Server, YES! I Said it! REWORKING THE SERVER. This means we are rebuilding the whole mobs folder back up, well I am anyways with ash_64's Help! :)
D: With the re-working, we discovered the secrets to Seal Online, and I found more Mobs I never knew existed, and I been playing this game for over 6 years! So a new Mobs List will be created when done!
E: Having fun playing with the Client while testing it... I have fun from time to time, and I can't help it, Seal just has that appeal to me! :) :P
F: However all this is going on, there is one thing that is stumping us that we need your help with, we are trying to figure out how or if there is a way to input boundry information of maps, and trying to find another way for the server to load and open the maps for use.
G: We have found there is an issue with the server not loading every single map that exists! This is why Monsters do not move in Dod, type DOD in the chat box to go there, and you will notice they DO NOT move! This is becuase the server is not loading that maps information, I however am trying to fix this, even HEXed the server files, but no luck yet. So the following is the issues that we need fixing, and this project may be done before you can say Kalamazoo!
1: Find a way for the 1819 and 1820 EXE files to load all maps and not just 20 of them at once.
2: Find a way to control how Mobs can walk and roam on the map, and have them not go through walls, rivers, or any other boundry a player normally can not pass.
3: Find out how to make mobs more agresive, or less agressive, and have them attack you! Like Samba Cactus in Travia Mountain, they usually attack randomly, they dont in this version and that upsets us! Also in the same sense, some are too agressive, if you seen how fast I was moving in that last preview of me playing, even moving that fast does not shake them off, they still attacking me like butter on bread!
4: Rebuild the whole Mobs folder, I am doing this, and it will be done, and it will be quick if the top 3 issues ever can be fixed! :(

thats what we work every night dude..just wait!
we rebuild all server file from ground..so when its done,
people would be easy and fully understand all component in server file.
and able to setup their own server like real one seal (official server).

but not all maps are loading, there are 94 maps total! I dunno how to fix this, I even tried search for 23 or 24 and replacing it with 94 to up the max map loaded I guess? Well that did not work, any suggestions???
Here is the updared server files again, and the test8 is the sql, and just add the mobs.rar content into your mobs folder

i means change mobs behaviour like this:
1.mobs more agresive and will attack us first when we got close.
2.make mobs moving..not too far but simply make mobs back to original coordinat where he belong after he moving..main thing is,make mobs not stick in his orignal coordinat in maps.
could you explain how do that?and give us example for that xml code,combine xml for agrasive and non agresive mobs and what trigger code in xml to make itu.
and could you telling us,how far ur progress with ur private server seal..would u share here with us?
really we are stuck here..we are need more exprince and more people give us what he know about bug etc,so the progress to make better seal offline can be achieved as soon as possible:thumbup:

Ok guys and gals, we seem to have some issues that need resolving, if anyone and I mean anyone here has information available please share it with us as it is important to this project. Since everything is being redone, we have the following pondering and disturbing questiosn that are preventing us to progress farther:
A: How to make Monsters Agressive?
B: How to control Monster behavior? In Example, Make a BOSS not move, and attack without moving, and how to get certain MOBs to cast spells. In Example currently the Horses that normally shoot Carrot Missles at you, does not do this anymore? We need to figure out why this is. Also Monsters are jumping or skipping and easily catching up to us, even when there walk speed is slowed down...
C: How to get the Monsters to not go outside walls and other boundries?
D: How to make certain maps load information vital to making certain maps work in this Game? In example, DOD and other maps simular.

There is not ETA, as it takes time to rewrite the data, I am refering to the MOBs folder, it being compleatly redone, and is using actual information from the .scr files from the client in Seal Online which tells every location, every spawn, every warp, every NPC.... Which means this will be almost an exact replica of Seal Online the official one.

The Reason I posted the information above earlier was not just to share it, it was to show you what they mean so you have a better understanding as to why we are having trouble.
Currently I will remind you all and put the current Monster bugs ONLY up here, then maybe someone can figure out the rest.
With that setting up there in the OHM's XML it does not make Ohm stop in movement!! Even though movement is set at 0 which logically would mean no movement right? Wrong, he still can move, chase you and attack. I even tried negative numbers, so don't tell me to try that either! I even tried absurdly high numbers, does not matter! I tried it all related tot hat XML file!
Now thats just the begining of our problems, the other problem is, there is no Projectile fire from mobs? Why is this? Is it a skill that needs to be added to the SKILLS folder? For Example, OHM just hits, and beats on his chest, he does not cast his Ring arround to attack, I even provided him MP and he still does not do it! I tried upping the Range Higher, and Higher.... still no projectile fire!
There is also an issues with Mobs not Attacking players, or not being agressive, also there is problems with Monsters going outside there boundries... the other day I found some uniquie numbers within the source files in the client, and comes to find out they are just Rocks and Trees that Craftsman hit to COLLECT resources for there builds! So that was a major FAIL for me! As it had my hopes up that it might of been some kind of trigger!
The other issue is the Monsters contrinue to chase you down to your death, and will not let go, they have amonkey grip on ya, and they are just not going to let go so easily! THIS IS NOT NORMAL GUYS, sure they can do that and they do in normal Seal, but not this bad!
AND the final Issues, is on maps 20 and on up to 25 Mobs are not mover, West Sealed island and East Sealed Island too, 20 is Esidron Lake, and 25 is Dungeon of Death... these maps and some others I may not hav ementioned are having issues with Mobs NOT MOVING AT ALL! We need this figured out too. So as you can see we have Behavior issues galore!
Believe me guys I tested every thing with this, so there has to be some missing field in the xml's or there is some other files we need that are missing from the Server, perhaps a SKILL, or maybe even some simple XML explaining what each Mob type can do? What ever it may be, please guys help us solve this mystery... or else this project may fail! And I DO NOT LIKE FAILURE! There are too many problems for a normal group to go farther, but I am crazy enough to try to get this done!
Now with all that said, don't worry guys, I will continue to work on my Mobs, NPC's, and WARPS that I have in my list of things to do here. I will still make sure the quests and monsters and NPC's and Warps stay instact and work like they intended too... However there will still be the issues IU mention above. If you think you know the awnser, please don't be bashfull jump up and say "URIKA I GOT IT!"! Ok? For the Team, and you can be in the team, and help us do what ever else is needed related to this.

Ok I got alot done so far, Zaid, Elim, and End of land are compleate, but if your one of those kind who do not want to get spoiled seeing previews than I suggest skipping this post! :tongue:
Of course the next projects will be Inside Elim or Elim Stores, and then If I can find them Zaid Stores, and fix there links...

Due to the fact of the client being too old, it does not have sub classes yet, I am not sure why this is like this, becuase many people here called it Seal Plus, when in fact its not Seal Plus... This versions is the version that came out right after Item Mall had been introduced. So currently there is no 2nd Jobs...
It is as if some people came together trying to make this version Plus, you can hack it, reverse engineer it, do what ever you like to it, even add the clothings and maps for it, but it will never be Seal +... and will never have 2nd Jobs...
It would require someone with un-packing knowledge of the newer exe's and newer clients, I know it needs to be unpacked to be used with this server, but guys.... I am not taking that risk of getting a virus and trojan.... I been taking high risks as it is, making this project....
I have spent more than US $2,000 on my computer and TV alone, I am not going to risk loosing it or having damages that I can not afford right now!
If one of you guys could un-pack it risk free, and know its clean, and send it here, then by all means do it, otherwise, this is the client we use, and server we use. And the Server is no longer an exception due to how nuch has changed already.... each NPC WARP and Monster is 1 .xml file.... That means I will be having over 10,000 XML files on this server before it is said and done with! I mean if we have to we can change server EXE's but not the database and mobs! Those I am working very hard on modifiying as we speak!
PS, I ALSO THINK THIS IS WHY WE ARE HAVING ISSUES, the SERVER FILES ARE PLUS I THINK, and CLIENT FILES ARE NOT!

I am going to just do NPC's for now, and fix warps, then add Mobs later.... Travia Mountain and End of Land are Full, and contain all Monsters like normal Seal Online has! :)

It is not easy finding English Documentation for scripting in Seal, so if you will do kindly give me links to these sites I would appriciate it, or you tell me right off.... I hate it when people withhold information and give idle hints... please confess up and telll me how please? :love:

Well Folks it seems I am getting done with this quickly, however there is some issues I need to stress.... these are new ones... Apparently higher WARP SOU's which I had mentioned before have to be added to the database. For warps like rainbow Zone and Warp between the gate in Upper Stream of Glasis River, new SOU's have to be found or inputed into the database. West Red Soil Warps fine, but as for certain warps are not working due to higher SOU number ranges! Everytime I try to add more SOU's, or add higher number SOU's the server wants to crash, meaning this will be more difficult than I had thought. So this may cause delays on a final release, however I still will release new updates as I see fit. You have Update number 1.4 so far, its not much to work with, but it is a start. Sorry there is no low level or higher level Mobs than the ones provided, in future releases there will be. Currently the level Ranges are 40 - 100 so not a very good range, and not enough Mobs that drops rares available. So if you prefer to wait to see it in a final release or in sneak previews then so be it, otherwise bare with the pain like the rest of us! Anyways, I am tired, and have linked up over 10 maps in 1 day, and have added over 100 NPC's to the Mobs Folder! Thats alot of work!! :scared:
Anyways, hopefully I can fix this delima of WARP problems... However, lower level warps are working fine and perfect so far, so no worries there! All TOWN's Stores and Shops should work perfectly besides some minor NPC issues and Quest issues!!! Meaning you can do almost everything that you could not before on the old Server Mobs List, but at that expense you lost some Mobs to kill, Sorry. :( Only link not done yet, is the Quest Starter links in Town, currently those are broken, so don't try them yet! :grr:

I am in need of someone who can read and type English, and can Help me fix some warp issues in Seal Offline. I need a Translator. I am not sure how the story goes fully, or where these warps take me. So if you happen to know English, I need you to write down coordinates from game. Say, for instance typing the command /location shows the location you are at in Game. All Maps currently have there NPC's at least for the ones I can find, read the 5th post back or so, the ones in Red are Unidentified maps, but soon as they are identified, there NPC's will be in place, but I am going on ahead and going to work on the Monster Data... :drool:
Oh, and here is the newest version 1.6! :D
test16.rar is the sql file, and mobs16 is the new Mobs folder data for your server, just replace your existing mobs data with it!
If you wish to help me beta test this, see if you can help me find the SOU's to all the warps outside Sevis and in Sevis and all the other maps I had mention! I would appriciate it, if you gave me the SOU number for them.... Since all NPC's are up and all WARPS are up, maybe we all can find out a thing or 2 about these SOU's and where things are supposed to link.... Thanks Ahead of time! :)

Do not download any client or server files from the old Guide, I plan to make a new one. I am practically doing this all by myself, so I am very stressed. There is no Team, I am the Team, only other person helping me currently is ash.... and even so I have done 99% of this NEW work!!!! So as you see I am very stressed and I do appologize for griping at you earlier. But go back to the first page of this Topic, download all 3 rar files. Then keep reading and following the posts untill you find the one that has the new server files. The new 1819 and 1820 server files, and then also make sure you have the newest database files test16. Just follow this topic, back track and see all the changes I had done before trying. Then try again, if you still have troubles let me know, and I will see what I can do to help. I am working solo here, so don't expect a fast response always... :/:

I still have the server up, all it takes is you renaming or backing up your SO3D02.EXE files and download that new one on the above post, and then try logigng in, if you can't post here if your unable to login. But before you do that, at least attempt to try to login to your own server with the old EXE to make sure it works on your end beforehand...
IF by any means you can't connect dont be scared to let me know, I will see what I can do to get this working, and also, while I am doing this, I will be updating the server off and on with new MOB updates....
Just becuase I am attempting Seerver testing does not mean I am stopping the Mob creating and NPC's.... that Project is still going on, it would just be nice to have some fellow testers connect with me on my test server to see how well this will work.... My account in GoldenAce and will be the GM, you will most like find me hanging arround the towns, mostly Elim!

The server is up, the clients updated, but no one is coming? why? I do not know.... please a take a moment to download my newest CLIENT first here:

You do not need the Server files, and exctract them to the proper folders. Seal, AceSeal SealOnline 456SealOnline it dont matter...
Then optionally grab and install the following:

NEXT: Backup your current SO3D_2.EXE from your Seal Folder where ever you had installed it, and download this and place it in that same folder:

After that, run the Launcher.exe file and select the 3rd option in drop down list and select the start game button.

It is a great successs, I have had over 30+ members enter my Server tonight, and I expect more.... Now when my IP resets I will have to send out a new client, but untill then we could get someone else to host for now... Anyways, alot of bugs found, some we knew, some we did not know... but we really need your help huys, we need XML Coders, and people who understand how SQL works. It would be a great + for this Seal Private Server Business... :thumbup:

There will be an update to the Mobs folder, in a few, so expect a reset of the 1819 server which will only take arround 10 seconds or less

@ Ace, I cannot login to the game. I use the ip 192.168.2.8 as the server you use. but when using other sql files, I can play normally. I think I could not connect to the database when using your sql file.
* I use Navicat, not sqlyog like yours. what's it matter?

My server has been down several times, the reason you have not been able to connect is becuase you don't have the new EXE

Seal Online Emulation (Tech Talk not A Help Me Place)

I am heading up this project since no one else will, I already have made a guide, now just need the team to work together on developing this even farther!

Please anyone willing to help develope or wish to participate in helping let me know here, or in IM, or in my group. I will be glad to add you, and the more experience you have the better!
Server will require MySQL, or some form of SQL server files, database files from the guide I provided above, or we can make our own database. Also if we can get a Programmer who knows C++ and can make an application for this server, and understands how this server works will be a plus. I seriously recommend who ever is to host a server to please IM me or find a way to contact me so I can at least make it match your IP, the client that is.
So in short this is what the server will need or be needing to run:
1 MySQL for web and database along with Apache software possibly
2 Also a new Program app that someone with programming expereince can develope to work with this, but currently we can only edit with SQLyog or other SQL database programs
3 Next is the person hosting this server must have a static IP address, the IP can not keep changing as this will cuase problems for the client and server setup, so I suggest someone with a permanent IP address to host this.
4 New Clients will be made to work with the new server once setup, and the server must also be setup with the IP address in order to work. Btw I know this can work, its just needs EFFORT and not give up becuase of the minor issues we been having.
Currently here is a check List of things that need to be worked on or fixed:
A: Possible English conversion, or at least have warps in English, That is a first on the list that would be very helpfull.
B: Same as A have at least the Server be English and communicate English like, or program a totally new server file that is all english that can work with the client still without conflicts.
C: Same as A and B get the client to be in English too, however I already figured out a way to get the interfaces to be english at least, and that is already taken care of.
D: Warps are Semi-Figured out, but still are a problem on higher level maps!
The WARP numbers begin at 516 or 517 for the XML files in the mobs folder and not sure where they end yet, but I do know I tried putting warps up to test, its teadious but it may be the only way we can do this. Since finding new valuable information within the cliuent I have been able to accuratly fix 75% of warp issues! Still need to know how does the sou number in the database maps list relate to the MOB Number in the xml files? I tried 516 or 517 and so on, they do not match in game, and warp you to a total different location, meaning the sou numbers mean nothing it seems, or are pre-set.
E: The Maps, they are not correctly programmed or information is missing on them.
The maps that currently come with the 458SealOnline-5-27, and the Server files are not up to date or something is also missing here. The problem we are having is the Monsters go through walls, Mountains, rivers, and any other boundry that the player normally can not cross. This is irritating me right now when I try to play. There is also some maps, such as map 25, DOD, that does not have information at all on it, I am guessing pathing information. Sure... players can walk arround in the map, but monsters do not, they can't move! They are stuck. If anyone knows how to script for this if it needs scripting by all means please help us out and tell me. I can script provided I have the structure and command information to work with.
Also I will throw this into the mix, becuase I think it has alot to do with the maps as well, the monsters are not agressive at all and do not attack players. There is a reason for this and I believe it to be the same reason for all the other Map issues we are having. Also BOSS's such as Ohm can move arround, and are not supposed to, I have tried making them type 4, but they do not attack back, I have played with xml numbers, and still have no results. Maybe this also has to do with the maps.
Another New Issue found related to above is Magic.Missle attacking Monsters do not use there spells/skills and just walk up to you and hit, which is retarded compared to normal Seal... :glare:
F: Monsters having issues, they need fixing, refer to E for disscussion on this.
G: Skills are not correct on some characters, and some skills crash the character not the client preventing you from moving, the client still responds, but you have to do a force crash of the client to fix the issue temporarly.
H: Knight Cross Skill is not working correctly, the exp is not being distributed like it should, and does not act like normal Seal AOE skills. Issues related to G Most Likely...
I: Health Bars, MP, and EXP Bars are not working correctly, they are off or do not work correctly, there is also a EXP negative issue when hitting high level mobs when low level, somehow subtracting exp? I do not understand it. So I am thinking the EXP Health and MP systems have to be re-written, or need to be adjusted. Not sure how this can be done. This is still a problem on Oct 31st 2010.
J: Bank works, but does not allow changing or imputting passwords and will not allow you to desposit cegal, this needs to be fixed definitally. When trying to type in a password or create one or deposit cegal the game freezes up, have to force crash Seal to get back to running again.
K: Trading system work with NPC, but can't go past 2 Billion mark when selling to marchants, which I think is normal for Seal? But still, if you can't bank the cegal, than you can't really be bothered with that now can you?
L: EXP distribution is incorrect, and does not roll-over like normal Seal Online does. When you level up in normal Seal, the excess EXP is carried over, in this version it does not, preventing from multiple level ups at a time like normal Seal would do if you was strong enough and fighting high level mobs at low level.
M: Leveling up too fast cuases a cool bug where some textures on the map get replaced by the HELP textures? LOL
N: ITEM MALL is broken and needs fixing, I know why this is, the SO3D_2.EXE file needs to be hexed, and look for the http:/// link that is in it, I saw it before, its an item mall link, and that link is dead so it crashes the launcher, its best to HEX edit the EXE to fix this issue, and I think item mall will actually work!
O: There is an issue with creating an account within the SQL database, and expecting it to work, it works, but then you can't wear anything it seems, everything is red to you, even rubies. Like you do not meet requirements message or such.
P: There is a 1 character per account limitation, need to find out how to get it to 5... I believe if bank can be fixed so can this becuase I feel they are related somehow.
Q: Some Item Mall products don't work when you place it in your item mall database section for your character... I am sure once more information is created or provided for the server the more things will magically unlock and work, so this is a long slew of fixes that need to be done... Pet Rides replace your Wings/Burnging Tail, Gloves and places them in the Item Mall Slot preventing you from getting it back.... be carefull with this bug it is nasty, and you need to take off them manually before wearing pet rides!
Anyways, I will be testing for more bugs, and trying to fix some more of these issues, if any of you can or have fixed any of the above problems on there own private servers let me know, we can share files, and we can see where this goes. Also later on I will be packing a new client for everyone to work with that has the english interface, once I clean up the excess crap that it don't need and I pack it up rar style. May have to split it up...

It is already offline, what made it online was my EXE file, just back up my EXE file, and replace it with the old EXE file, SO3D_2.EXE and make sure you have the server files fownloaded

There has been issues I have noticed with Warrior/mage/and Knight Gear changes, or swaps... you might try shopping for knight gear or priest, and as silly as it seems you may find it.... htere is no fix for this, and its a client to server database issue. If you take off invalid clothings it crashes you.... or you was doing something else like using a skill at the time, becuase I never heard of taking off clothing crashing or freezing your character up unless you had hack your char level and put higher level gear on...[COLOR="Silver"]

THere is a bug with Skills, when you up skills to level 10, the reset when you log back in.... also there is a death bug, when you log off while still fainted and dead, and log back in, your alive again.... meaning you can't really die! lol
