How do I change the players level?
-
Re: How to change players level?
pwAdmin, character tab, choose character, click on CML, change the line named "level".
-
Re: How to change players level?
Alright thanks, that really helps.
One more, the attributes skill points stay the same, how do I increase the point?

to get skillpoints you have to get every single level without changing the level by hand. you can do the following:
1. set level to 1
2. set EXP in normal GUI view to 999999999
3. login and kill a mob ( then you are level 102 with all skillpoints )
4. Change level back to whatever you want in XML mode
Always remember to NOT be logged into the game while saving characterthings in pwAdmin !!!
For the normal skillpoints ( those to learn a skill ) just change SP in GUI mode.

Failed ! A GM is for support not for leveling
GM can be level 1 because the job of a GM is to teleport people out of walls or answer stupid questions. Thats all a GM is for. A GM that is playing ingame is just a stupid cheater

Re: How to change players level?
conclusion: most of private servers have stupids GMs cheaters on them

Well... since most private server GMs are volunteers and are not actually paid it is in whoever is running the server's best interest to at least let them enjoy what they do within reason...

Re: How to change players level?
Hmm. I mostly know what mah team is doing. Sure we also have fun ingame like spawning some high mobs and look for molds and stuff but we also play the normal way like all others. I just said that because most of the people think they are better than others just because the have high level chars but in this case they are not because that are cheated chars. I always laugh about those who have 100+ chars and think they are good players because they can PK a level 50 char :D: But when there is another 100+ they teleport away

U can create a teleport Quest or change an exist 1 to enter this area.
I dont know if that work too but u should be able to add through xml of ur char the coords and dungeon/world id where ur char is, when u re-login.

Hello!
I was also curious about getting more skill points (for attributes, not spirit).
In the PWAdmin in the char. tab when i choose the character i cannot modify the level.
I'm using the VBox image by hrace009.
What do you mean by click on "CML" ?
Maybe i'm using some old PWAdmin ?
Is there any newer version of PWAdmin?
Thanks very much in advance!

Re: How to change players level?
necro...
1.) CML = XML (hi typo)
2.) Never change Level - change EXP
3.) Skillpoints r level related - u can't set them
4.) If ur PWadmin is old my glass bread will tell me soon -.-
5.) For newer version check ronnys repo
6.) no more posts needed...

Argh...
not skillpoints I meant statpoints (STR / AGI ...) afaik changing them (adding more as you can have over all on your level) will cause client or map crashes ?!

Re: How to change players level?
Thanks for the replies, guys,
a little update: i tried changing the Stat points (STR/DEX....)
via the old iWeb interface.
Indeed - sometimes it causes the character to render unusable
and show the "disconnect" message while logging.
Howevere reversing the changes fixes this...
So if i want a character with some "extra" STR/DEX/MAG/VIT or some more resistances i actually cannot create it via the "admin" tools because it causes the char. file to be unusable?
And thus the best way to gain bonuses on those attributes is through items?
Any ideas?
NOTE: For example i want a heavy-modded char with 500 on all stats.

Why? GM Cape + Wep is more the enough for GM characters...
