Go to vitural network configurator and check which network adapter vmware is trying to bridge.
this is the configuration...

not working bcs i use a internet card connection and i dunno how to set the server without the router =/
correct me if im wrong... thats a 3G Vodafone modem?... since i know you cannot forward ports with that because they block everything...ive been trying to get work only an xampp... ive never successed. so if you dont have other Inet connection you'r lost :(
yea correct , i do all with success , i create db , centos , centos ping the db and all , but in the log fil ther's an error that he have failed to connect the db =/
like i said before... vodafone block every port ... and its useless to make port forward in vmware...
Something is definitely unusual here.
Can you post an "ipconfig /all"? If you want to blank IP addresses then blank the last 3 numbers, i only need the first one.
this is the config , but i think is not a problem about the connection , bcs another friend tryed to do same with router and ther's the same problem in log db ther's an error that says centos cannot connect to db =/
Nothing unusual there and i can't find anything useful in the vmware knowledgebase based on the error (what is the end of the error vmware shows?).
The problem is that vmware adaptor is shutting down so nothing will work until that is fixed. Also you don't have a router so vmware should be set to NAT not bridged. Make sure the server is connecting to the vmware NAT interface IP shown on windows (vmnet8) not the 3G one.
I think Acnathon might be correct as i can find a lot about vodafone port blocking on 3G connections. Even if you get the two to connect to each other i don't think you will be able to get external players in.
Like chumpywumpy posted if you dont have router you need NAT connection....
But like I said there is no chance to get work a server with that modem
even if the vm is connecting and you make forward from vm you will not be able to join because of the "default port blocking" by vodafone...
so better if you get a new connection
no i'm in !!!! i can connect vmware with putty and all logs in dev cabal are ok !! the only one thing now is that i need to patch the game and try if it connects but i saw 3/4 guides and i can't understand how to do it =/
Patching the game is easy. The recommended client is in my sig, you can try others but you might find more bugs as the client version is very important and the patch doesn't change all files. The v2.81 patch is on my mediafire page (www.mediafire.com/chumpy).
Once done edit /data/internal.txt in the client to put the IP address you see when you do "ifconfig" on centos and with your settings that should work.
/Offtopic - seriously, nobody else could answer that in a whole day of visitors?
