Re: Cannot see server (Trying to play on Local IP)
you don't need to portforward if you want to play on local ip o-o
You only need to portforward when you play on your wan ip
-
Re: Cannot see server (Trying to play on Local IP)

Re: Cannot see server (Trying to play on Local IP)
BUMP?? 24 Hours have passed.... I need a helper here.. Im using the July 2008 Repack 3 by Phoenix and my OS is Win7 32bit
-
Re: Cannot see server (Trying to play on Local IP)
If it's not because your running Windows 7, it's because you filled something out wrong.
I cba to read all the .txt shit, so I'm gonna say this,
When running it from localhost, you don't have to edit pretty much anything. For me when I run from localhost, I only have to edit like, 3 files.
That's not being specific, so it probably won't help. But oh-well.

Well, you could've google'd that.
Re-download all the server files, and make sure you edit EACH one the right way. Because now that you've said that, we now know that it's a problem with your MatchAgent and MatchServer (Server Keepers)
That error would be caused because you edited one of them wrong.

Re: Cannot see server (Trying to play on Local IP)
I tried ReDownloading and Redoing it from the SQL to ODBC to Server and to Client files 3 Times already.. and using my Local Ip (127.0.0.1) and googled the thing u said... All articles did not resolve my problem,.

Re: Cannot see server (Trying to play on Local IP)
Uhm........
Than I have no clue. If it's not working obviously you didn't edit something right, or not at all. (Not saying you're lying, or anything)
In that case, I have no idea of what's wrong. Tomorrow when I am not feeling lazy, I'll look at the screenshots, and your server files to see if you edited them right, if someone hasn't already resolved your question/help thread.
Good luck, hope you get it fixed.

Re: Cannot see server (Trying to play on Local IP)
Use the 2007 Client, add your updates. Make sure you have 127.0.0.1 filled in everywhere, including system.xml. And then make sure you have your ODBC, and ServerStatus.dbo, and LocatorStatus.dbo.

Re: Cannot see server (Trying to play on Local IP)
Okay, forget about the first part. Make sure 127.0.0.1 is filled in every where. PS: Everytime I used one of Phoenix's clients, I've had the same problem.

It SHOULDN'T be everywhere! Some should be left blank. FREELOGINIP="BLANK!!!!"

Re: Cannot see server (Trying to play on Local IP)
You don't need MatchAgent when you're running a local server - Just the locator and server.
Besides, it might just be a wrong configuration over the client (system.xml).
-
Re: Cannot see server (Trying to play on Local IP)
I think I know why. No one will be connecting so you do not need the agent.
