Zornos unanswered questions Thread
Hellou,
here is my collection of unanswered questions. Maybe someone can help me with these :D:
1. Why we cant wear visible Headgear-fashion thingies ?
2. What is the quest ID of the supply stash and why we cant get all items out of it ? ( if i know the ID i will simply change the rewards to other things :D: )
3. Why the X button on the minimap navigation windows does nothing ?
4. Why the storecats dont have a .ecm file, just .bon .ski and .smd ?
5. I made a battle genie ( cloned the flying piggy and just replaced the ecm of it with the cultivation genie ) and whatever i do it cannot learn skills :(: Why ?
6. Mah tomes forge works but only sometimes. Mostly it just do nothing exept the moving bar. When its done it just does nothing. Sometimes it does what it should do. Why ?
7. Nirvana forges doesnt work at all. It just shows the progressbar and steals the items but gives no builded thing. Why ?
8. When i spawn mobs with npcgen.data that have to be somewhere in the air they are always on ground even when i set the Y value to 790.000 ... Why ? Is there a flag i have to set ?
9. The teleporter in Valley of chessboard ( in that thingy in the air ) gives me a "No Entry" warning. Where it wants to teleport me ?
10. Why we have Black Sand Palace map in Server but not in client ? Is there a chance to convert Servermaps to client ?
11. Anyone can give me the correct gs.conf in fo for b05 ( the house ) ?
12. Is there a chance to change gshop without a server restart ?

We can, i found a way to do them ages ago.

what u mean "supply stash"?

Proberly a bug in your elementclient.exe version, i havnt noticed this.
4. Why the storecats dont have a .ecm file, just .bon .ski and .smd ?
They have no GFX or animation and so do not have any need for an .ecm file.

Are you sure its not a baby pet? (only for display).

Theres an error in your serverside elements.data

This happens becuase the item the recipe is supposed to give does not exist in your elements.data, or you have an error in the recipe.
8. When i spawn mobs with npcgen.data that have to be somewhere in the air they are always on ground even when i set the Y value to 790.000 ... Why ? Is there a flag i have to set ?
Use ronnys SNPCedit and change it from ground to free movement mode.
9. The teleporter in Valley of chessboard ( in that thingy in the air ) gives me a "No Entry" warning. Where it wants to teleport me ?
No idea what you mean, can you give me the teleporters ID?
10. Why we have Black Sand Palace map in Server but not in client ? Is there a chance to convert Servermaps to client ?
Nope, you can go client -> server but not backwards. Black Sand Palace was never finished. The serverside we have for it is simply a copy of the annother maps serverside.
11. Anyone can give me the correct gs.conf in fo for b05 ( the house ) ?
It's not a house, its a map designed for the guild bases system and translates to "Guild HQ A". For the gs.conf settings just copy annother 1*1 public map and change the map IDs to b05 etc. Theres no magical settings you need for it, just copy an existing one.
12. Is there a chance to change gshop without a server restart ?
You need to restart the game server to change the gshop, but you can have different game servers with different gshops by coping the gamed folder and changing them. This means you can use a different gshop.data file in different maps on your server.

Its the box you get at start of the game. The one that gives items every five levels.

100%. I copied the flying piggy battle pet level 30 and just changed level to 1 and the 8 to 255 so everybody can use it. Works fine btw, just that it has no skills and the attack rate is 1 per level. So it has a damage of 5 when you are level 5 :D:

Theres an error in your serverside elements.data

SNPCedit tells u: Spawn Mode ... There u can choose between Ground or Free 3D. Choose Free 3D

a27/is27 is Lunar Glade but i guess thats just another name right ? Cant start that card but i guess its not in mah gs.conf :D: need to check that later.

Zorno, for the head fash, you can add them in character creation. You need to edit the following in your character ini file...
I know I was going to do a thread with all the ids, but it's taking time cos I was taking screenshots as well :p Some of the headpieces have weird transparent sections. And some hat fashions that need dying don't get dyed, for example the eternal love head set :)
But here they are anyways, I used Ronny's patch elements.data to find the ids.
Ladies - with the Tideborn, it's the same as the rest, the first number is the head model!
Mens - haven't tested them all yet, something wrong with the curling plait is all I've got as far as at the moment.

Uhm ... character.ini ... but that will only change it local for me i guess because when i sell headgear in shop and someone activates it nothing will happen. True ?
I want that the items work do that and i dont want to tell mah players "you need to modify the client".
btw someone had a black foxtail these days, i guess he/she hacked it in. Forgot to ask how he/she done that but it looked cool :D:

Ah ok, see what you mean :) I don't know for certain, but like wardrobe/cupboard stone functionality, don't think it can be possible with the version of the client we use here, I would love to be able to do that too :( I've known some private servers to create the ini files for players in their installers as a work around, cos as far as I know this isn't achievable :)

Like micropanther said, its not possible to get fashion headgear exactly like on PWI cuz our client and server version is crap.
So the ways to get them are on the Makeover Service and the character customization screen. (require elements.data editing, there are some lists for it)
The character.ini editing only able you to switch from others hair styles from others classes... Like a Veno having Tideborn hairs...

I now have a Werebeast Tiger with an Iro :D: Thats so funny :D:
But ok so i stop working on that headgear stuff.
Now for me is important: Question 2 ... the supply stash thingy box. There are things that dont work. The stones, the aerogear and another thing i cant remember atm :D: They start their quest at the mailbox ( second weapon starts at the Messengerangel instead ... ) and then they are dead in your questlog. Sure it says "Go to the Mailbox and get ( put the crap in here ) ..." but mailbox shows just nothing. So i want to replace those things with just some gifts like a mount instead of the aerogear etc ... but i cant find the questline for the box.
