When i make a quest room and put the items up on the table it gives me a error like "?? ??? ????" the quest works fine and the boss shows up it just doesn't give any specification on who the boss is.

I had the same prob but yours is in a different file :D!
Check npc.xml
npceset.xml
and from the looks of it, your scenario.xml looks old. u using old ijji files or wht?
