Re: Homeless man with 'golden radio voice' gets his chance (video)
Holy shit. Why is he begging for money? Oh yeah, he's probably making ~30/hr which is way more than anyone would pay him for being awesome :\.
-
Re: Homeless man with 'golden radio voice' gets his chance (video)
Wow, this video had about 300 views when I saw it yesterday. Fair play, best of luck to this guy.

Re: Homeless man with 'golden radio voice' gets his chance (video)
Great story, also I see he takes the blame for his current situation and he's doing something about it.
Best of luck to this guy :)

Yeah he's pretty awesome. With this going viral, I have no doubt he'll get a few decent job offers.

Re: Homeless man with 'golden radio voice' gets his chance (video)
I'm really happy to hear he's getting a chance to become something more. Could almost cry. Too bad i'm too manly for that.
-
Re: Homeless man with 'golden radio voice' gets his chance (video)
I just hope his new wealth doesn't cause him to relapse. When people who have fallen on hard times suddenly strike it lucky it often doesn't end well. I absolutely wish him the best with his new jobs but remember he's a recovering addict and he's going to need a lot of help besides money. Hopefully the publicity will help with that.

Re: Homeless man with 'golden radio voice' gets his chance (video)
Yeah, more disposable income leads to stuff like that. However, the way he said he got into alcohol and drugs then the way he said he's been clean two years lets me have hope that he is truly happy to be off intoxicants.
This is why I hate alcohol and drugs. It ruins lives.

Alcohol ruins lives. Weed enhances some. (Some, not all :p)

Re: Homeless man with 'golden radio voice' gets his chance (video)
I love when homeless people go after their passion, even though they have probably been through hell and back.
It gives me hope <3. He 'finna be rich now.

Re: Homeless man with 'golden radio voice' gets his chance (video)
Anything can happen if you try, good luck to him. His voice is awesome xD
-

It would be fun to have a voice just like he learned to do.
-
Re: Homeless man with 'golden radio voice' gets his chance (video)
He got a job offer from the Cleveland Cavs and QuickenLoans. They even went so far as to create a website to get his attention. Here it is:
We Want Ted Williams To Work At Quicken Loans!
Watch the 2nd video, at about 5 minutes into it. They are giving him an amazing deal, and moving him into a house :O
and Holy Shit!!! Almost 12 million views in 3 days. I can't remember any other video that took off this fast.

Re: Homeless man with 'golden radio voice' gets his chance (video)

It all depends. If he took the Cavs offer, then no, because they were going to literally buy him a damn house lol

Re: Homeless man with 'golden radio voice' gets his chance (video)
Way to let corporate America be arrogant assholes... wtf... They really took down the original video on the grounds of Copyright claims by the Dispatch? Seriously? It was widely known AND said the Dispatch were the first to get wind of this guy and act on it. This video was more of a way to give this guy more publicity. God I hate how retarded companies can be.
"Wahhh, even though you are giving us full credit and saying it was us that discovered this guy, we don't want you to spread the word about him being helped. That's our job. Wahhh"... fucking spare me...

YouTube - Raw Video: Homeless Man's Voice Gets Natl Buzz
But seriously, you know how people say "any publicity is good publicity" ? This happens to be untrue when you intentionally piss people off. Please die a swift and excruciatingly painful death, Dispatch, and here's to hoping you're ddos'ed out of existence for several months by Anon for being utter douchebags.
Further demonstration as to exactly why companies and corporations should be unable to hold a copyright or patent.

Re: Homeless man with 'golden radio voice' gets his chance (video)
Seems like they are treating him like a dog which is a shame. The man is what? 71 years of age? Shame but least he aint a bum no more.

Re: Homeless man with 'golden radio voice' gets his chance (video)

I still can't understand how they can hold a copyright or patent on a home camcorder recording. It's obvious it wasn't done with professional equipment, and regardless if it were... there are countless other news stations reporting the same exact thing this original video is showing, so why are they in the clear? Maybe they are too stupid to realize that YouTube reaches a hell of a lot more viewers than a news station. God it pisses me off how they just throw the power around like that. The original video did nothing more than give this guy the recognition THEY wanted him to get by creating the video... amazing...
