# Custom TH Pangya S4.9 English UI Edition - 582.05-R1 (MegaUpload - 602MB RAR)
Removed, please use the original client from the stickies, patch it up to 584 and use this as your base. You can grab the necessary translation files from the forum.

Special Thanks fasa2008 for the ProjectG, and there are few bugs that are not resolved but won't cause any issue, client is 100% ready for localhost play, private LAN/WAN play need to hex edit the IP on ProjectG. I might release pak patches regard the remaining bugs and maybe add new official items if i have sufficient motivation to do it. Right now this is as far i go due to the server status i'm having.

# Py S4.9 Server + Database Repack v.2-R1 (Fileserve)
Cleaned off the logs and removed the files that we possibly never need. That downsized from original 120MB to repack 14MB to now amazing 3MB. Mind you this release fixed much bugs and errors from previous release but still contain some. The rest counts on the communities to put their rawr power and make it work.

MS SQL Server Installation:
1. Launch MSSQL installation with default settings or custom settings is fine.
2. When prompt for Authentication Option choose "Mixed Mode" that uses 'sa' account and type your SQL Server password.
3. Continue and finish the installation with default settings or custom settings is fine.

Game SQL Database Installation: (Make sure the SQL Server is running)
1. Launch 'SQL Server Management Studio' from StartMenu. Connect using:

- Server Type: Database Engine
- Server Name: 127.0.0.1 or localhost or (local) or If you use custom name for the database stance then type example 'James-PC\YourDBStanceName'
- Authentication: Windows Authentication

2. Go 'Database Repack.v2' folder > Execute the .sql files in numberic order and done. (You can ignore the grey or black text about missing procedures)

Open up ODBC Database:
1. Go StartMenu > Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Administrative Tools > launch 'Data Sources (ODBC)'
2. ODBC > 'System DNS' tab > Add > Scroll down to 'SQL Server Native Client 10.0' > Finish

Register Connections to ODBC Database:
1. Name: ini3_py_account

- Put the name of the database ODBC should connect to; which you need 'ini3_py_account', 'INI3Bill_DB' and 'Pangya_S4_TH'. Create the connections ONE BY ONE!

2. Description: Put whatever you want or leave it emty

- A personal note for that connection, is not important anyway.

3. Server: 127.0.0.1

- If you install MSSQL using Default database stance name then 127.0.0.1 / localhost / (local) / or your PC name are fine. If you use custom name for the database stance then type example 'James-PC\YourDBStanceName'

4. Next page, use Windows Authentication is fine and 'Next'.
5. Change Default Database to the same name as your connection name and leave the rest, go 'Next'.
6. Make sure your Windows is using English language or you can change SQL Server system messages to English. Now press 'Finish' and 'Test Data Sources', you should get 'TESTS COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY!', press OK to add to ODBC.
7. Now repeat add rest of the connections until you have 'ini3_py_account', 'INI3Bill_DB' and 'Pangya_S4_TH' in OBDC and DONE!

FINAL - Server INI Edits and Done:
1. Open 'PANGYA_SRV Repack.v2' Folder. In there edit following .ini files with your own SQL Server password.
- Auth\Auth.ini
- Login\Login.ini
- Py_GameServer\Server.ini
* Ranking and MSG Servers are optional if you don't use it. BINDSERVER use with MSG Server only.
2. Ready to launch servers! Auth, Login, GameServer! Enjoy and Have fun! (Dont forget to create account :P)

Did they actually do English ones?! *to YouTube~!* ...I want Azer's ENG voice! In general, they aren't that bad.

A good system for the MCSet is to make a program or something that allows the player to choose which language they want for each character. >_< Shame I don't know more VB than I do...(or anything on how this works really, but that'll be my new goal I guess).

Running it currently on my 3GB 32b XP desktop, so I'm 99% sure it'll work on the 4GB 64b W7 laptop. xD

Anyway what i have in mind is to make a specific PAK file for the voices, so you just switch PAK file for JP or EN voices, is easy but getting the ItemID or implement the Club Set into the game can prove challenging as i'm new to .iff edits.

I'm trying to email Reina for the tools that she wrote, if she approves for my use it would be ALOT easier job. But apparently she removed her email so i'll search abit or give up using her tools. Because she's seems to be against of the private server data getting published.

EDIT: I just mailed using bugreport email, is the only email i see fits ^^; now hope for the good news.

I'm about half-way through the "idiot-proof" guide. Hope your client uploads successfully so I can complete this (cause it kept me up all night, ha!).

@EDIT: Is your client an entire installation which will simplify things or is it another patch to the client and patches TSU has posted?

My client is full ain't patches and doesn't come with installer, just uncompress from the archive and launch the game from anywhere and delete folder when no longer in use, so is really simple. The client however still contain untranslated item descriptions and other miscs which are .iff editing related. I'm not going to start anything at the moment until i get a reply from Reina to see which way i should progress. ;)

Upload now 465MB of 602MB around 7 hrs to go.

EDIT: And for the voice, English is definitely no go for Lucia! I gotta admit Ceci's English voice is very seductive. xD I can make JP and EN voice pak for the patch easily but after find a way to get Miracle ClubSet.

Ah, I see. So it'll be as simple as put it somewhere and go? xD Good, I can start the outline for it.

Everything else important is written. Now to add the pictures and work on extras (LAN, pang, points, GM, etc).

Lucia sounded alright in the first...but lost it in the second.

There are 3 voiced clubset in US Pangya:
- Miracle Voice Clubset (More voices)
- Magical Voice Clubset (say 'pangya' only)
- Exceed Clubset (Mixed voice tones and Japanese and English? o_O)

When stuffs going too weird, i might just place Futurama, American Dad, The Simpsons voices in pangya; Kooh with Homer Simpson's "OHHH! NOOOES!" when water hazard ;3 rofl

The most obvious thing I can see (with an untrained eye) doing is taking all three of those, assign them each a single language, and have all three be complete dubs of the language.

(Otherwise, take the most complete one and dupe it twice so you have all three languages.)

I missed Chemical Clubset for the US pangya too.

But sorry to disappoint you :\ it looks like the voice data was added since 501 but the actual data for the clubset were never implemented :| Just like what they did with Lucia's car before, the texture were there but the car mesh data never exist.

This looks tricky to implement but looks possible, from my guessing just add texture, script data and add the clubset to iff file, it looks like can only be done with Reina's tool for now *sob*

I leave that in your hands as you apparently know what you're doing. >_<

The repack works just fine. Re-installed the database/server this morning with it and everything checks out (besides the obvious, complex issues of course).

It can be done - and was done, in fact - without any special tools.

You're on the right track, you need to copy the models, textures, icons and sounds and add the clubs to club.iff as well as the clubset to the clubset.iff. Since the IDs are the same for US and TH you can copy & paste the records directly.

If I were you I wouldn't get my hopes up to get tools from hontoshadow. If they had any intention of working with us, they would've done so. Always best to learn things yourself.

Thanks for giving me the direction Tsusaka, sometimes i just don't know where to look and just poke around try to get a clue, is a slow and painful process. But I never thought hex edit the .iff would do because it contain some encrypted alphabetic. I will try copy the sample and paste it on the bottom and see if that works.

Only Miracle, exceed Voices and Guitar clubs strings are listed in the last projectG (583.04). The others like chemical won't have any voice until you can modify the ProjectG to add them (the sounds) in the list in the ProjectG.exe

That means that you can add anything with sounds in paks but if it's not referenced in projectg.exe, you will hear no sound.

Thanks for the update 583.04 news bubbastic and awesome for the fixes! Thanks for sharing ;) I'll keep a note for projectG as well start looking into the TH new updates, plus download JP client when i'm done with the upload.

Part 2 upload complete!

@Analezey Run AUTH server, check password connect to SQL Server is right and see if SQL Server is running.

JP client doesn't have much in it except textures and models not really needed except for sound if you want them. but for the iff files, you can't really use them.

I need the JP client for the textures and mesh data of the extra items, and for the JP iff data i don't think it will work with the replacement, but i'm thinking to find and add the itemID plus related data to TH iff like Tsusaka said it should work.

You're misunderstanding something here, mrNickname.
I said it's easy to port items from US->TH, since the structure of the files is identical.

If you're going to have fun with JP iff files, you'll run into problems. They aren't unsolvable but you can't just copy stuff as easily as you imagine.

Let me remind the audience, that posting error messages or images without any context or information is not helpful (and actually are borderline spam) and that support requests are best placed in the general forum, not this thread.

Currently, using your client, I see a Halloween Theme. Is that supposed to be there?

All 3 items under accessible are successfully in the update.

Yup i always like the halloween theme so i thought to use it. The watermark only appear on the screenshot jpg. Is possible to replace it with an transparent 1x1 pixel file. So it will disappear.

If you want to edit it yourself its under data/ui/logo/ folder ;)

Oi, this pak business is distracting me from finishing the tutorial, lol.

A quick question on pak structure. Since TSU says not to repack the 500+ and you added this update in a 501, if I want to change a file in the 500+ pak, do I simply copy it into a data folder, edit it, then repak it as 50X.

Assuming that anything in a later pak overwrites all in the previous ones.

Why shouldnt we repack the 500+ file? Ive done this, and client doesnt crash or anything.

Is it something about how the client uses the files it has? always uses the latest files in the latest pak-files?

Assuming I'm right about later one overwriting the previous, my guess is that the game loads by pak number. It starts with the 500+ and loads it into memory then proceeds to load 501, 502, 503.

If anything overlaps, the later paks replace the data already in memory.

Yup you are correct about that, make sure the file you want to replace are named and placed in correspond data\ directory. Repak it and use it with higher pak number. The game will then load that file from example 502 then 500 and 501. Nt33v has always been patches the game this way. Now i'm just doing a favor putting official 90+ paks into single 500.pak for easier UI translation and release small patches now and then to update/improve the game ^^

The PWC comet doesn't appear to want to be bought: "This item is not for sale."

Again, everything else in your update is fine (if the Give All procedure would let me buy the PWC clubs. Q.Q)

EDIT: S0omething I noticed: Ceci's face disappears if you use a "ear equipped" item. (Feather, Ears) It's quite humorous really. :o

This program have infection, Win32/alman, He is in the folder Auth -.-

The results of the VirusTotal scan as well as the fact that the AVG Remover for Win32/Alman doesn't find anything would suggest that some scanners are simply too sensitive. I want to remind that Alman is already a 3 year old virus, so most scanners should detect it these days.

Apart from that - since this is a repack you will have the same result with the original files as well and - as you noticed - no other files are seemingly infected. So you either take the risk or skip this server leak.

In that case: See you in 5 years when we (hopefully?) get the next one. :laugh:

Most of the updates can be used easily if you have 2 clients installed. =D i get mine from both US and TH. But you still need the current ProjectG To get the updates to work properly.

EDIT: i have 2 TH client. 1 Modified and 1 Untouched (for update purposes ^^)

If I may say, if you're going to upload something less than 200mb, use Mediafire instead. There's none of this waiting BS or popunder ads. -_-'

Now, here's my little project. To locate the red text which appears at the bottom of the window when you take a screenshot and get rid of it. I like spamming F11 through animations to try and get a good frame or 3 but spaming catches this text.

Anyone happen to know where it is? I've looked around a bit in the pak (which, prolly wrong, was fun, lol), so now it's onto looking at the ProjectG...

ProjectG is the wrong spot to look as well...

I don't have mediafire account and don't plan to use it in future, MU is easier for me as i use premium account with my friend. Hey i'm all tired after a day of hex tests and verifies, so i just pick an easier place to up.

And as for the Tsukasa's patch, if anyone going to use with my client's ProjectG then you need to rename thailand.dat to english.dat or else game fails.

(Appears when I run the client on my laptop. Yes, now at college.)

Using the old client setup, which included the update.exe, I just ran it, closed it quick, and it fixed the problem. However, your client arrangement doesn't include the update.exe to repeat this fix.

It would seem running the updater triggers a flag or something which allows the client to run. I've searched and, despite thinking I've seen this error somewhere, didn't find it. >_< Any solution? (Like getting a dummy updater and running it perhaps?)

This will work for 64bit users. The basic script doesn't put it in the "wow6432Node" section under software.

What Sonict posted worked for me

I forgot to mention that I found this out because of an online friend that has Windows 7 64-bit was trying to connect to a private server that I set up and while the original script worked fine for me since I was using Windows XP 32-bit, it didn't work for him.

How I found out where the issue was this: Since he had normal Pangya USA installed, I asked him to search for it in the registry since if I can find out where the original Pangya puts it, then I know where the script should put it. I said try searching for "Pangya_US" which was wrong, but he found a reference to it in the uninstall reg key and posted a screenshot. I noticed the "Wow6432node" section and asked him to show me everything in there. I noticed "Ntrxxv" (Censored just in case) and thus, found out this is where it had to go. The rest is history. :)

HI guys :) i downloaded and installed everything .. but when i key in username & password it keeps saying invalid.

I did activatethe account using the stored procedure and i did alluseropen, and my odbcs look fine too.. the "login" window shows an sql when i try to login and then some worms.. (thai maybe?) i can run the sql fine with result..

Any pointers ?

My bad.. it was my odbc afterall.. didnt set the default db -_- ... I'm embarresed to call my self a programmer :P

You can edit the icons and the textures, of course.

You can even convert the models and edit them with Metaseq. Do a quick forum search for more informations.

Simply make sure you repack the data before using it.

Is there any tool to MAKE pak files? Hsreinas tools only allow unpacking >.<

There's a toolsuite that allows you to unpack and create PAK files as well as converting models into a Metaseq-compatible format.

yeah it's support, it's run on my 7 64bit home premium, you must have sql express 2008 R2 64 bit version and use ODBC 32bit not ODBC 64bit(by default)

completing what krakerz told.. u always need a 32bits client to make the connection odbc in the same pc. if u will connect from another machine x64, u need install the x64 client for that respective database (oracle is the same. server 64 and client 32 in the same machine)

Special Thanks fasa2008 for the ProjectG, and there are few bugs that are not resolved but won't cause any issue, client is 100% ready for localhost play, private LAN/WAN play need to hex edit the IP on ProjectG. I might release pak patches regard the remaining bugs and maybe add new official items if i have sufficient motivation to do it. Right now this is as far i go due to the server status i'm having.

MS SQL Server Installation:
1. Launch MSSQL installation with default settings or custom settings is fine.
2. When prompt for Authentication Option choose "Mixed Mode" that uses 'sa' account and type your SQL Server password.
3. Continue and finish the installation with default settings or custom settings is fine.

Game SQL Database Installation: (Make sure the SQL Server is running)
1. Launch 'SQL Server Management Studio' from StartMenu. Connect using:

- Server Type: Database Engine
- Server Name: 127.0.0.1 or localhost or (local) or If you use custom name for the database stance then type example 'James-PC\YourDBStanceName'
- Authentication: Windows Authentication

2. Go 'Database Repack.v2' folder > Execute the .sql files in numberic order and done. (You can ignore the grey or black text about missing procedures)

Open up ODBC Database:
1. Go StartMenu > Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Administrative Tools > launch 'Data Sources (ODBC)'
2. ODBC > 'System DNS' tab > Add > Scroll down to 'SQL Server Native Client 10.0' > Finish

Register Connections to ODBC Database:
1. Name: ini3_py_account

- Put the name of the database ODBC should connect to; which you need 'ini3_py_account', 'INI3Bill_DB' and 'Pangya_S4_TH'. Create the connections ONE BY ONE!

2. Description: Put whatever you want or leave it emty

- A personal note for that connection, is not important anyway.

3. Server: 127.0.0.1

- If you install MSSQL using Default database stance name then 127.0.0.1 / localhost / (local) / or your PC name are fine. If you use custom name for the database stance then type example 'James-PC\YourDBStanceName'

4. Next page, use Windows Authentication is fine and 'Next'.
5. Change Default Database to the same name as your connection name and leave the rest, go 'Next'.
6. Make sure your Windows is using English language or you can change SQL Server system messages to English. Now press 'Finish' and 'Test Data Sources', you should get 'TESTS COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY!', press OK to add to ODBC.
7. Now repeat add rest of the connections until you have 'ini3_py_account', 'INI3Bill_DB' and 'Pangya_S4_TH' in OBDC and DONE!

FINAL - Server INI Edits and Done:
1. Open 'PANGYA_SRV Repack.v2' Folder. In there edit following .ini files with your own SQL Server password.
- Auth\Auth.ini
- Login\Login.ini
- Py_GameServer\Server.ini
* Ranking and MSG Servers are optional if you don't use it. BINDSERVER use with MSG Server only.
2. Ready to launch servers! Auth, Login, GameServer! Enjoy and Have fun! (Dont forget to create account :P)

why you can not invent such a Pangya emulator because the sql I am not clear is always login server down with me even though I have done everything as it was in the Alexandrine description but I have win XP and 7 and not with the ip setting in network I can not do because otherwise I have no internet anymore because someone help me I can not so good english but I do not know what I should do yet:(

mmmmh! I think you can try to read all sections of the forum, if english is difficult you can try with google translate, I think it's good enough.

And how can you expect to make a server without any SQL knowledge. Read other's code, try to understand and copy the structure to make your own features.

For the basic operation you should familiarize yourself with SQL. I can't recommend any resource for that - playing around with Management Studio, exploring the databases/tables/procedures by yourself and setting yourself small goals (like: "I want to set the money for account X" or "I want to make myself GM by using a SQL query") as step-stones to learn the basic SQL syntax will do just fine. For a small, private (as in: you and some friends) server this should suffice.

The reason you should know your basic SQL is simple: Most of the fixes in here shouldn't just get applied without any background knowledge.

If you want to get into item modification, you best start reading through the old release thread for the original server files (not the repack!), there's a bunch of cool stuff in that thread. chreadie's IFF thread in the Development forum is also a nice resource.

So yeah... kind of depends what level of customization you're after. Again, for a normal game with friends, just downloading, following the guide and some basic SQL is enough.

I'd suggest to at least learn about the server files yourself.
Imagine IF someone is crazy enough to make a server for you, how will you maintain it? Fix bugs? Add extra content?
If you don't understand the server files at least a bit, you shouldn't be hosting a server to public yet.
