Re: Client does not connect
Do you have changed the ip in "/PWServer/glinkd/gamesys.conf" ? :mellow:
Try to change the first address you will found in the file by the one you used to access to pwadmin.
Check that the version for this adress is 10306.
Check if the port is 29000.
Go go go !

Just so I know...
Can you tell me each file that the IP's need to be edited it (In the server. not client)
Re: Client does not connect
Only the one I tell to you. Don't touch the others. They must still with the IP 127.0.0.1 for security reasons :mellow:

I used aringaso's release. Everything was in his IP. :P
Imagine it like im hosting public, then what IP's will i need to change?
Re: Client does not connect
It will still be this file "/PWServer/glinkd/gamesys.conf" but the first IP will need to be 0.0.0.0 so the server will accept client connection on any interfaces.

Don't need to change IP's to host for public. Glinkd can use 127.0.0.1.
You only have to open the port 29000 and use a fix IP. Or, you can rent a dedicated machine.
Re: Client does not connect
127.0.0.1 = localhost
0.0.0.0 = any interface
Basic networking... :glare:

Sure you could run a glinkd on localhost but that can't be the only one running... (you'd need another one running to accept other connections like for example ./glinkd gamesys.conf 2 is my localhost one I use with pwproxy for server side packet fixing)
Broc your patcher also looks strikingly similar to Robb's... http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1178264/scre...e%20Client.png

Not done editing it O.o I used his as a base, but soon will be re-done entirely.
(I'll show the final product when I'm done, I plan on spending a ton of time of just the patcher. Unlike most servers I played, the patcher is unorganized, horrible design. But yes, That patcher is robb's devastation patcher edited by me. I just smacked a few things on there to get rid of the stupid MY patcher :P: )
So if you thought I was stealing his patcher, I am not.(:
Re: Client does not connect
sorry for necro but turns out this guy also copy and pasted entire devastation client and used it for his server, which failed hardcore.
Hes now at lionsdenpw though and using the stolen files to place my work there ><.
Wish i had seen this thread sooner.
Re: Client does not connect
what a shame =/ good that a good server does not only consist of client changes ^^
always thought about maybe encrypting elements because of such stuff
