Because there are translated pokemon white/black out there. They are almost perfectly English translated.

I have other various games but none to recommend :S I just dont find the DS that great other than pokemon

I think you can actually download DS Roms and with the right equipment, you can actually play the roms on your actual Nintendo DS. I remember seeing something a while back, Ill see if i can find it now
