Attacks/Skills Miss

Hi there,

I have a problem, and i dont understand why its happening.

I made a Item/skills balance for all characters but i walk into the following...


When I tested pvping I noticed that Skill attacks miss alot on characters..

So at first i thought characters had 2 much Def/Abs..

So i changed equips to some lower level items. Badly that dinnt solve the problem..



So i thought maybe it had something to do with ATK Rat..

So i made the atk rating higher on few weapons but the skills just keep missing..
Also when i make the ATK Rat lower, it still keep missing

Even when i strip down a character and try to atk with a fully equiped char, the skills keep missing :S


The weird thing is when i attack Monsters/ Valhalla towers/Castle door the skills never miss..

Any1 have a idea whats going on here?

You made some mess in player def, eva or block formula, thats why you can hit towers in BC and monster, they have different formula for that.

Hmmm i forgot to notice ..


This only happenends when you are in the BC Field ( Behind Flags )

When you out side the flag Area, you can still attack players ( just need to hold Ctrl )

And skills never miss, I dinnt test any other map yet, i guess i will do that later today, and post my findings here..

At last, i never changed any formala for def/block/evade ( only the item stats )

When you are (and person who atk you) not in PVP area you don't do DMG so you don't have to calculate DMG, DEF, EVA, BLOCK.... when player hit you, that would be waste of time.

But you better double check what you changed :)

I only changed few delays on skills ( no dmg ) could that be the reason?

ANd ofc. Inside the flag area of BC you are in the PVP Area..

But maybe i dinnt formulate myself correctly, when players are outside the PvP area they still can atk & dmg other players. ( I really dont know why this is possible )
They only need to hold ctrl to atk them. and skills never miss there...

update:

I found the problem why players could attack behind the flags,
There was something wrong with the server/gameserver/field / castle.ase & castle.ase.spp

so i replaced them with newer files ( from a friend) and the problem is solved.
Also characters miss a bit less then before, but i dont understand what castle.ase&castle.ase.spp have to do with that...

still looking for some feedback about this..

This is how i have it in my hotuk.

Anyways, i solved the problem..

I gave every character about 100 agi * before it was arround 70/80

Now they dont miss =) ( or atleast alot less )
